This is part of an effort to get GW to answer questions. Who knows, maybe it will work, maybe it won't.

What psychic powers are actually shooting psychic powers for the Sisters army?

What does the Mancatcher actually do?

Each Acolyte that is equipped with a Mancather, and is also in base-to-base contact with one or more enemy models may select one of these models they are in base-to-base contact with. This enemy model loses an attack, to a minimum of 1.

The FAQ Q&A is:

Q. Can you clarify how the mancatcher works
and who it can effect?

A. The mancatcher functions as described in the
Codex for all models engaged in combat, as
outlined in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.

The Codex doesn't say 'all models'. The FAQ references an invalid reference.

This needs addressing.

Thank you for trying, MinMax.

The Mancatcher works the same way against all models (i.e there are no 'invalid targets').

As the codex entry clearly states, the Mancatcher can affect ONE model in base contact with the acolyte. If there is more than one model in base contact, the acolyte's controlling player chooses which one the Mancatcher will affect.

As far as psychic powers go, are you referring to Inquisitor powers or acts of faith? Acts of faith are NOT psychic powers (although they are resolved in much the same way) and follow the guidelines given in the codex.
If memory serves, one of the Inquisitor powers is a shooting power (don't have the codex with me so can't remember the name but its a lightning-bolts-from-the-fingertips power that counts as an assault weapon)

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

The Codex says one thing.

The FAQ refers to a rule that does not exist.

Where are you guys coming up with this?

Why do you keep referring me to the Codex?

I know what it says.

It's what the FAQ says that is the problem.

"All" is not "one".

Not in this universe, not at this time, not in the foreseeable future, and not in the language we are currently using be it King's English or American English....and heaven help you if you need someone to explain this in math terms.

I want GW to tell us in the FAQ what powers are considered by GW to be shooting powers. All the other FAQ's have a list. The Sisters need one too.

Thank you for the clarification that Acts of Faith are not psychic powers.

Grats me for playtesting both SoB lists and missing that one.
