Sorry if this is easily answered (hopefully is). How does a force weapon work in V5 vs. the demonic power voiding instakill? Does that knock out a force weapon in V5?

IIRC, the new Force Weapon description says it causes Instant Death. All Daemons have Eternal Warrior and are immune to Instant Death. So against Daemons it's merely a ST whatever power weapon.

Thats what I thought, but wanted to confirm. Makes GD's / DP's significantly more nasty (same for Nid MCs as well).

Kind of vitiates the point of a force weapon doesn't it?

Not exactly.

You can remove eternal warrior from Nids by killing the Synapse creatures.

Demons, you can't.

True that. Of course the synapse creatures have a high chance of being the MC on the receiving end so thats all good.

But daemonhammers are wicked neat still, against daemons at least.

It's a bit of a 180 from the old days, where force weapons where the kind of thing that was most effective against Daemons.

Kickin' it old, old, old school, as in 1989.

Well, it is still "significantly" a GW figure.

It started 'life' as a GW figure.

And it is certainly more than 50% a GW figure.

Plus, it is 100% awesome, so...

Ah, I stand corrected. OLD SCHOOL FOR THE WIN!

I even had one of those, silly me. The size of the hand and the different hammer style threw me off because I had just got done browsing some warjack galleries..

Greater Daemons from the codex chaos space marines do not have eternal warrior- I've already ran into this during gameplay- as a slanesh blissgiver took out a khorne chaos lord, then a greater daemon over the course of two turns. (this was a slanesh vs. khorne battle with both armies from codex chaos space marines)

I dont know about the GD from Chaos Daemons, but the chaos marine one is a viable force weapon target.

...one amongst untold billions.
