1750 point Tyranids Roster
HQ: Broodlord; 11 Genestealers
12 Genestealers
12 Genestealers
12 Genestealers; Feeder Tendrils
12 Genestealers; Feeder Tendrils
24 Gaunt Brood; Scuttlers; Spinefists
24 Gaunt Brood; Scuttlers; Spinefists
Carnifex; Twin-linked Barbed Strangler
Carnifex; Twin-linked Barbed Strangler
Carnifex; Twin-linked Barbed Strangler
Carnies will act as pill boxes that wont stop shooting till dead.
Mainly used to spread enemy forces out. Now that the Barbed Strangler's
round will land, three Str8 pie plates that pin should effect enemy deployments.
Gaunts get out in front of Stealers with scuttlers to screen.
Stealers take the fight to the enemy - theres 60 of them, and they run.
Brood Lord and retinue trail behind guants and draw fire away from scoring units.
Will flank rush one side while Carnies bombard far side scoring units. Their BS makes
targeting units close to my immediate front risky to say the least.
Ill deploy scoring units centrally if I have to deploy first, while the Carnies get LOS
to prime real estate.

GENERATION 7: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment
It was the weapon of a Daemon Prince. Not as clumsy or random as a Bloodfeeder; an elegant weapon for a more detailed age. For nearly a two editions, the Daemon Princes were the guardians of variety and flavour in the Chaos Codex. Before the dark times... before the Jervis. H.B.M.C.

I am concerned about the synapse - its just I dont like having all Stealers as every single bolter shell will be hitting primo models.

How about this then:
2x Hive Tyrants with Barbed Strangler, Scything Talons ,+1 Strength
3x Carnies with Venom Cannon, Scything Talons, +1BS
2x units of 12 Stealers with Feeder Tendrils
2x units of 12 Stealers
2x units of 16 Hormagaunts

Hmm...well you get the synapse in that way, but your templates all go down to strength 6. The odds of bullseyeing a vehicles with a dot that will probably scatter 4" are pretty slim, so I dunno how bad that really is. I woulda said just grab some Zoeys - AT + synapse = Zoey.

Gaunts don't work in this army.
Replace them with Rippers.
Carnifexes with TL Stranglers? What for? Give them a strangler and a deathspitter instead. 2x the blasts.
Your Broodlord at a minimum should have 3 points spent on feeder tendrils...really.

Contest yes, control no (they are swarms).
You can run a small unit of without number gaunts to sit on your backfield and take your own objective, if you are worried about it...but it does cost you a slot.
I'd personally take a ripper swarm and a without number unit, so you can contest and claim it...claim is better, but rippers can hold it for you versus most late game rushes.
