It was my first GD. I was impressed!

Number of Golden Demon entries was sort of underwhelming. Thought there would be more. Don't get me wrong, what I saw was impressive. I'm happy for everyone who won, but comparing what figs won to what didn't was shocking. I'd like to hear the theory behind the protocol for judging GD.

Chris Borer won the Slayer Sword. Don't know what he won with as speaker was garbled when he announced. GW sculptor Dave Thomas won the Open GD.

Saw the Black Reach Orks/Space Marines painted up. Also, saw the sprues. Lots of possibilities.

I wandered around pretty much all day. Most insane thing I saw was the Big Game. 100+ Baneblades!

Tyranids won 40k tourney.

In GD contest.... Name escapes me ( maybe Forsythe) won 3 GD's, gold, silver, silver, and a plague and his son won Youngbloods GD gold. There's painting talent in that family

25th anniversary fantasy army boxes were going for 20-50% off.

Wow... 100+ baneblades... the waisted imperial resources the fact the imperium would commit to a battle like that explains why its all going to hell.

50 were Orky 50 were Imperium.

There is presidence...Imperium took 3 divisions of Baneblade and Titan legion against Orks and died to a man. This tale is based on what game organizer told me. I want to say source is Forge World books. Anyone know?

Some math.... 100+ Baneblades and I see at least 20 Basilisks, Imperium side. At least 10 Basilisks on Ork side.

I want to say Ork Baneblade equilvalent is Battlefortress in Apoc. I don't have my Apoc book in front of me.

I saw some of the bronze and silver winners at this games day. I was not very impressed. There were some amazing models, but in the "large model" category, there were not very many entries at all.. The winner was a rough rider I believe which did look amazing but then the silver and bronze were just not that impressive.
