1750 Points.
41 Models.
I forsee two forms of play with this list. The first involves deploying everything in a huge blob and advancing on the enemy. The DPs have less of a role here, as they are easy prey for long range shooting, and will not do well going solo into the enemy line. However, they'll take most of the fire until they die, leaving the Obliterators alone for a little while. The 33 TS models will pump out 30 Str4 AP3 shots at 24", 39 shots at 18", and 69 at 12". Couple that with the 6 Obliterator Lascannons, and I'd say my only worry at this point would be hordes and Sv2+ heavy armies.
The second form of play would have the TS on the ground, taking fire and moving forward into firing range. The Obliterators and DPs would all Deep Strike, and throw my opponent for a loop. I sweat when a pair of them lands behind my Vindicators, so maybe my opponent will sweat when I do the same with 6 and 2 DPs.
C&C is very much appreciated. I'd also like some suggestions on how to beef it up to 1850.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Personally i like your list it has alot of kick in it, just a few things remove the pts in your list, its a breach of GW copy right, just thought id let you know, someone told me that, oh and dont think that deamon princess are the way to go, thats not always true, sure they can be very good and handy but a sorceror or a lord can be tranported, deamon princess cant and with doombolt, its good dont doubt that but try using warptime, it will be very usefull in a squad with AP 3 weapons.

You lack troops bad for a successful army list in the 5th edition, you should drop one prince and one of your obliterator squads for another one or two squads and maybe chance the prince to a sorceror

I initially chose the DPs based purely off of what they could do on their own. However, it was a difficult toss-up between them and Sorcerors.
Would I be better off taking a pair or a single sorceror if I did end up taking them instead of Princes?
My configuration would likely be: Jump Pack, Warptime, Winds of Chaos.
I think that in conjunction with their 4A with a Force Weapon, they would be formidable in Assault. They would definitely help out with my lack of close combat, and having one in a squad with an Aspiring Sorceror makes the unit have 7 Force Weapon attacks, which is nothing to scoff at.
Does that idea sound a little better than rambo Daemon Princes?

personally, I think you are better off with deep striking demon princes. If you deep strike 6 oblits and 2 DP, your opponent is going to be in real trouble.

3 things to keep in mind when making a thousand sons list:
Do I have enough CC?
Do I have enough anti-tank?
Do I have enough anti horde?
In this list your Oblits are going to be dual tasking with anti tank/horde and I'm not sure if that is enough usually.
Why Bolt of change on the DP's? Since their one goal will be your melee beatsticks I would switch out the bolt with breath of chaos, breath and warptime are a great combo and it will help thin out squads that you plan to charge. I wouldn't worry too much about their durability, it takes a lot take down a demon prince with the higher toughness and the eternal warrior. I wouldn't go with a sorc HQ because DP's just seem to handle themselves better on the battlefield.
Think about picking up melta bombs for your Tson sorcs in case you get engaged by enemy walkers or get a chance to maybe pop a tank.
For anti horde you may want to think about a defiler, its one of the better multi purpose tanks for chaos. Just on a fluff note maybe reduce the Tson squads down to 9 total and you could use the points for maybe an extra oblit, if not then no big deal adding the extra guys for the filler points.
