Well, I know Ive said so several times (in several threads) but i cant resist commenting on this.

That thing is such a superb example of how to make one of the most flat miniatures/ miniature tanks into a stunning piece of art. The camo is extremely well done the "shinning" green in the recesses totally rounds is off. Same goes for the few simple conversions you put into the thing as well as another breathtaking base.

This is without a doubt my most favorite monolith of all time.

It is really cool piece, I have to agree with that.

I am missing a shot though. I am curious how it looks lit up in a bit of a darker space. Now we do not realluy see the lights inside, I would like to see those more...

Again great work on the 'lith and I would love to see more of your armies...

@Flachzange that's a very high commendation ,thank you !

@LordRavurion watch the first pic and you will see the transparent part in between ,that's why it "floats" ; the lights inside are very weak ,can only be seen in dark environment, and they are also running out of battery now :S

Superb work ED, I remember seeing WIP of this 'lith. It's a real treat to see a GW kit done to such a high standard. Do you build / paint many other kits as well, apart from GW stuff?

Wow, you certainly do. The ZOID stands out most for me, is that a kit apart from the toys? Or did you in fact take one of the toys and go to town?

Thanks for the pics, more rock solid work.

This really is a superb model, and well deserving of the award. I've never seen airbrushing done this well on any GW model before. It's got great clean lines yet shows the ancient aspect off really well. I'm so tempted to buy one and a airbrush to see if I can learn how to do it. How did you manage the glowing effect between the armour plates. It actually does look like it glows rather than being painted on (at least I'm pretty sure it is). Also really like the new bits on the rear, very giegerish!

It's awesome to see some interesting 'cron stuff. Most people just go with the standard boltgun drybrush, but you've taken it to the next level. It's a work of art and made of win!

@covenant84 check out this link http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/288/page/4 ,same thing I did in the crack, and if you want to start with airbrush go to the hobbyshop buy a real one ,not the toy one from GW

@Boss_Salvage the Zoid is build from the toy ,I added more details and designed the camouflage . btw it can also move after finished !!

So is it just me or is that F-14 marked with the Macross VF-series number, in skull squadron colors with the double 0 marking for Roy Fokker? (Just VF-84 seems kind of high :V)

Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle, that Monolith is the new hotness. With the lighting effects, as I scrolled down the first picture, I thought it was a CGI graphic at first. The green glow effects are incredible. I'm rarely that interested in Necrons, but I would eagerly await seeing an entire army painted up like that.

@NickOnwezen - It's missing the UN SPACY logos.

Looks great ED, I remember seeing this as WIP as well. I really like the digital urban camo effect you gave it... that airbrushing is awesome!

I'm (slowly) working on a scratch built monolith at the moment. Your work here is inspiration to me, thanks!

Excellent work.

As an aside Covenant, you can find a couple of decent airbrushes in London in a shop called Model Zone. It's near Holborn station, but I understand that they have stores around the UK. Just an idea. I used theirs on my Leman Russes and was very pleased. I'm trying to figure out how to put pics up. You guys make it look easy, but I'm probably just being a moron.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.
