Used to play nurgle and nids in third edition, kinda got out of it for awhile and just starting to get back into it. Any comments and advice would be greatly appreciated. Visited a local tourney a couple weekends ago and looks like im going to be playin against gaurd, some nids, some chaos and regular marines and theres one ork and one eldar guy.

10x Chosen- 210
-2x Flamer

Figured i would infiltrate these guys and roast some hordes, pop a tank or just tie something up

10x Noise Marines- 235
-7x sonic blasters

Either 2 obliterators or a defiler- 150

Either 2 obliterators or a defiler- 150

Either 2 obliterators or a defiler- 150

1930 pts.

Figure its a pretty versatile list. I think everything would take a pretty good blasting on its way over and then get tied up with plague marines (who got tough as nails since ive been out) and the daemon princes, and things i dont want to get tied up with or dont want shooting at me duel lash. But i dont know, ive been out the loop for awhile. Let me know what you think.
Think it would hold up? Any idea what to do with the extra 70 pts? Defilers or obliterators? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

no need to have a defiler. oblits do everything they do better.

it looks pretty good. i would suggest swapping the flamers in your PM squads for meltas. some blastmasters in a the NM squad would also be nice.

for your chosen they either need another special weapon or a champ with a powerfist. ive also been toying with the idea of putting them in a rhino and having then outflank. i havent had a chance to test this yet but the idea seems nice.

generally it looks solid.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

I'd say go with all the Oblits. They really are the best the codex has to offer in versatility. I'd also say get rid of the Chosen squad in favor of equipping the rest of your NM with sonic weapons or maybe a blastmaster or two. Along with that maybe some rhinos for your plague marines. Foot slogging them across the board would be kind of difficult.

Edit: With leftover points work in another Oblit

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

Take Obliterators instead of Defilers and let each PM squad be led by an AC with power fist.
