I heard some rumors that Nagash was going to be brought back in the new TK book. Anyone else heard this? Is it viable? Although it dosn't make much sense unless they rewrite the TK story.

I've not heard that. And it's fairly evident that he won't be back for 6th Ed as we're already on 7th :-D
I can't see Nagash working effectively in the newer WFB environment, that is to say post-Herohammer. I can see his fluff being revisited in the Time of Legends series and the Liber Necris, and perhaps a FW model but I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing his like on the WFB battlefield in everyday or tournament games.

Didn't Nagash fight against the TKs?
If so, why would he be in the new TK book?

Because he doesn't fit anywhere else, I'd say. The TK list is probably the closest equivalent to what an undead army raised by Nagash could be like, and even that's pretty far off. Old crazy-hat is pretty much homeless at this point

I hope not.
Although in the last few books herohammer is well and truely coming back (much to most people's annoyance).
Nagash would be fine in legendary battles but to see him turn up in anything less than 3000 points would be a joke (just like Kroak)

I would not mind a Naash army that combines TK and VClist with a few extra units. His followers like Arkhan the Black and Krell would be the SC.

Well Nagash did raise the armies of Khemri and that is where he was from. And with that said the Tomb Kings arnt too fond of him. All in all I hope so, Nagash was the first model I had and it brings back a a lot of memories of those good old days, lol.

Isn't Nagash supposed to be insanely powerful, regardless of how many times he was smashed to pieces and put himself back together again? Would he be on par with Lord Kroak, or below him, that's what I'm wondering about.

Lord Kroak, Karios, Nagash, and Teclis are all about on par with each other when it comes to magic ability.
As for Herohammer, I don't think we have reached that point yet. It still seems to me that there are certain blocks of infantry that can stop a supper character in his tracks. And thus far every army has at least one. I personaly like the dirrection that 7th is going and I would openly welcome Nagash being included in the new TK book.
