So, Stelek's 'ard boys list got me to thinking about a 1750 LR spam list.

What do you guys think of this?

EC+Honor=100
Castellan+CC+BP=67

Troops
5 initiates+LRC+Smoke+dozer=353
5 initiates+LRC+Smoke+dozer=353
Inquisitorial Storm troopers = 50
Inquisitorial Storm troopers = 50

Heavy support
Land Raider+smoke+searchlight=254
Land Raider+smoke+searchlight=254
Land Raider Crusader+smoke+searchlight=269

total=1750

Obviously, the two squads of storm troopers go in two of the land raiders, the Castellan joins one of the squads of Initiates, and the EC stands alone in the last land raider crusader.

1750 landraider spam, with 4 land raiders being scoring...

crazy, or crazy good? I don't know yet, but it sure seems scary.

Necrons would still eat this list up, as they would just turn them off until weapons start flying off and they are all immobilized, and hammer heads would smile as they opened fire, as well as BL/DL spam. But most lists would see this on the table and cringe

Since you don't need a Castellan, why don't you add another troops squad instead?

Why you have dozer blades is...to tank shock people off objectives in terrain?

But Landraiders don't count as scoring units any more unfortunately and so I think you would have trouble winning a game. Drawing would not be a problem.

A troop inside a LR does count a scoring.

Where are my las cannon models again? I think I may have to start packing more of them in my armies.

I like the army, I wonder if it could be done at 1750 with CSM.

I think this is going to be an interesting metagame.

On one hand, you have the loonies who think that victory can be achieved by running 200 6-point models. and on the other hand, you have the loonies who plan to run 6 250-point models.

I'd hate to be a balanced army right about now.

Yep, you can.

2xTermie w/LR, 3xtroops, 1 hq, 3xheavy LR.

Combi-flamers are fun on Chaos LR, fwiw.

Sucks ya gotta get DP or EA, still feels like wasted points.
