I've been playing Chaos for a while now but lately I've been having trouble with them. After some time on the forum here I've decided to redo it but I've included both lists to ask which one you vets out there think is better.

List 1

Sorcerer w/ MoS, Lash - 125

15 Chaos Marines w/MoK, Champ w/ Fist - 295

15 Chaos Marines w/MoN, Missile Launcher, Plasma Gun - 300

9 Chaos Marines -135

Cult Marines are better than normal CSM. But small units don't cut it. I'd opt for the 2nd list, but drop the Dread and beef up the Termies and Plague Marines. Moreover, the Termie squad is also too small. Either drop it or drop Vindicator or Defiler and beef them up.

As weustenfux said. You are missing long range anti-tank, you have alot of points in characters at the 1500 level, your termies need double the numbers to even be remotely effective, and without more oblits you need more basic troops with meltaguns else land raider assault armies will run up on you and roll you...those vehicles you've chosen are trailer trash and should be left in the Eye of Crap.

dont go for slash princes make ur army competive but fun to play with half the people on the forum will help make ur army competive but not always fun chaos dreadnoughts are fun to use and so are cult marines

Lash princes are fun. They are fun to destroy people with.

Go with the second list, but drop those 2 extra crap vehicles and get some more Oblits you'll need 'em.
