how can they return to reserves if they never came from reserves

They get "transported" to the warp. If there is a problem then they stuck in the warp and can't get back this turn. Just imagine as you declare using this power that they vanish from the table. They won't return till you make a successful deepstrike roll.

they go into reserve then what

do they deep strike next turn, come off the board edge, or since its a unit of warriors do they have to come out of the monolith

one more thing do they have to roll to come in
