This shameless self promotion feels really odd to me, but I figured enough people might actually be interested for me to warrant a posting. We are only on our 7th episode but so far Dice Like Thunder has been met with very favorable feedback. We are a 40k podcast chock full of flagrant nerdetry. Now that we have started to add "Editing" and "Structure" to the show I'm very excited about where we will end up.

So give our little 40k podcast a listen at www.dicelikethunder.com! Tell us what you think, we are always happy to receive constructive criticism and new ideas for the show. We definitely want to get a mailbag and army review segment going soon too!

I'm very glad you guys like what we are doing so far. Is there anything you would like to see us do in the future?

I like the idea of reviewing user submitted army lists. Maybe a section on tips and tactics for particular units?

We were hoping to do that during the army list review. Focus on the units players want to use or on the units we suggest they add. That sort of thing! Of course I'm an inquisition player so my advice is usually "declare your opponent a heretic and throw things at him".

I win by default a lot

ive been listening to your podcast dude, it rules!! the only thing i want to have a slight tweak on is the after battle report. some of them are just you guys rambling about humorous bits during the battle, and its hard to get into it coz we never get to see the battle report!

im not moaning, coz they are really fun to listen to, but maybe a bit more of a decent rundown of how the battle went in each turn, such as tense moments of capturing objectives etc. (Obviously im not talking so indepth that you tell us exactlyn what you rolled for every unit )

And i agree that doing reviews on lists and tactical uses for certain untis to help the list is a good way to go

Good stuff. I'm listening to the first one now, so my suggestions might be null and void...

When you mentioned trying out units, I thought that you could set each player a points limit, and an army to use. In the next podcast, we could hear the result and some highlights.

As I said, I'm probably a bit behind as I'm starting from the beginning. I like the way it's relaxed and friendly, but the main point to advocate is that it's honest. You deserve every credit for that, especially when compared to that podcast that Jervis and Alessio put out. I couldn't believe how boring it was, and it sounded like it had been recorded in the bowels of a nuclear submarine. Your sounds professional, and refreshing.

Keep it up.

Professional? Now I'm insulted! We aren't very happy with how the podcast battle reports are going, we just don't feel like we are giving enough tactical flare. Instead we are going to start competing in tournaments and giving after action reports on that. We think our battle reports are going to be replaced with army list discussions and tactical situation assessment.

Discussions about how to actually make tough choices, that sort of thing. I think a "math hammer" show will really help people out too (basically how to size up situations without crunching ALL the numbers in their head).

So long as it doesn't sound like a math lesson!

Seriously, it was great to hear. The first one is under my belt and I'll move on to the second tomorrow. As an aside; is there an easy way to get these on to my ipod?
All I can see is how to play it on my pc.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

Yeah, we are on itunes. Just do a search for podcasts with warhammer 40k. You can download us directly from there, if you subscribe it will automatically download the show each time a new one drops.

On an aside note, if you like the show give us an itunes review, it helps boost our popularity!

So this week we started talking about strategy. We tackled pacing but I'm not sure how well it went over. It's a tough thing to talk about over a podcast... and it's worse when you have to jerkface meanie head co-hosts just staring at you blankly!
