For starters my Shoping list will be

Green Stuff
Watter Effect (Unless their is a cheaper alternitive than A$40 for the GW 247ml bottle)
Flocking.

Now what should I use for the Bace? Cardbord, Plastic Card or Thin Plywood
and if I want Grass Tufts along the banks will I have to get them from a Modling Store?

Next how long should I make each section and how wide? (going from the Bridge in Circle of Blood 2.5" including Banks)

Next is Bridges and Fords what Frountage should be able to Cross a Bridge or Ford? (once again going from the Bridge in Circle of Blood it looks to be about 3.5")

Search for a product called crystal lacquer, it's like water effect but much cheaper, I've been using it for water bases for years.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

If you are really wanting to do a scratch built river go for it. I started buying the pegasus stuff years ago as my aspiration for fancy terrain takes FOREVER. I have done some nice stuff over the years but honestly the longer I am at it the more quality store bought terrain is worth the price. Minature scenery building kits compnay has great stuff, and so has Pegasus hobbies. The river is a bit plastic looking buy nothing a quick coat of matt sealer or ever a dry drush would not fix. The price is almost too good to pass it up.

Scroll down near the bottom here and check out the "Toxic River."
I have that and, while it's not the BEST in the world, it is VERY GOOD. Add a little paint retouching, and it can be GREAT.

It's 4' in length and (I haven't even LOOKED at mine in a while) I THINK it comes with a couple curves, too.
Overall, from bank to bank, its' footprint is around 4" wide.

At $30 US, it's not a bad purchase, either.

I have quite a few pieces of theirs:
5001 Idol of the Skull
5011 Alter of Evil
5030 Orc Idol
5032 Dark Spirit Stone of Rage
5090 The Muddy & Bloody Trenches
5130 Toxic River Set

The rest of my group owns some of those, as well as:
5006 Bunker I
5007 Bunker II
5045 Tower Building
5050 Chapel Building
5062 Ruins I w/Interior
5132 Toxic Bridge

Every piece is quality made gaming terrain. It is solid and decently painted.
I can't recommend Pegasus enough.

Eric
