Greetings, Gents. This is Craig (recently of the D6G podcast, and elsewhere). My friends and I just finished a Mighty Empires campaign that some of you may have heard of on the podcast. Well, I finally got around to posting most of the story. The final chapter is coming, but for now, everything from the background story, bios of the commanders, and the first 4 turns are up in the Articles section. Just look for

And it'll go right to it.

Briefly, the campaign was 4-way: Empire vs Dwarfs vs Wood Elves vs Dark Elves. We used a version of Mighty Empires that I beefed up a bit on my own, and the scenario and terrain cards I talked about on the podcast. The games were generally 1000 point, smaller affairs, but players had the capabilities to add points. For instance, through pure luck I was fielding 150 points extra in the last two games.

Take a look if you've got the time and let me know what you think! And if you've got a little extra time, go on over to thed6generation.com and check out our podcast. Russ Wakelin (you know, the guy who started Dakka?), myself, and our friend Raef blather on about all sorts of games every other week. We talk about miniature games, board games, console and computer games, books, movies, and more. Everything you need to maintain your GeekCred in one place! And if you're not careful, we might get a chuckle or two out of you with our humor, which has been acclaimed on iTunes as "not too horrible"!

Thanks for checking in, and Happy Gaming!

~Craig

Far-stretching, endless Time
Brings forth all hidden things,
And buries that which once did shine.
The firm resolve falters, the sacred oath is shattered;
And let none say, "It cannot happen here".

On the perfumed wind

Hey, this is great. I really appreciate the attention to detail of including it as a authentic feeling part of the Warhammer World. There's a lot of care that went into the timeline and history. Well done, and entertaining for those outside the campaign to boot.

My connection speed is spectacularly limited right now, or I'd check out the podcast. Thanks for the time and post.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”
