Just reading the book last night and noted the magic item Pearl 'something' that makes the bearer and unit he is with Immune to Psychology.

So what happens if the Dread Knight buys it?

I can't remember if they clarified what happens when a magic item comes onto a unit already effected by Psychology, I checked the book but can't find a reference. If it does remove the stupidity, surely the item is almost a must buy for CoKs.

Anyone know?

The immune to psycology rule grants immunity to fear and terror, but the inability to flee from charges, IIRC.

Ah that makes sense, I didn't think to check the actual Immune to Psychology rule, they have clarified it with newer additions then. (Or I might have been using it wrong with earlier editons, although I was pretty sure in 3rd/4th at least it didn't clarify and it was generally taken Immune to Psych made you immune to all.)

Thanks for answering.

That's too bad. For a second I thought it meant that COKs
in the same unit wouldn't have to test for stupidity, but
mekboy's right about their being a specific description of
Immune to Psychology.

Ah well.

I, too, was psyched to see that item, and initially included it in my CoK unit on the champion. But alas, Immunity only covers fear, terror, and panic now.

It will be an excellent item for Black Guard or Witch Elves, though.

it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Black Guard already have ItP so would not benifit from it. However both witch elves and executioners will benefit greatly from it.

Sigh. Humor.

Black Guard are already ItP.
And Witch Elves are frenzied... therefore, also ItP.

Ahh but if the Witch elves loose combat they will not auto break from an outnumbering Fear causing opponent, ie Daemons.

It actually could be a good item to use on them.

If the Witch Elves lose combat, you're using them wrong.

25 points for a Plan B seems a little steep, especially since you're missing out on things like Witchbrew.

Witchbrew is a great option for witchelves and I would recommend it over the pearl.

I recommend Witchbrew.

Not because of anything as mathhammer as usage or effictiveness.

No, I recommend it because the Pearl is an item, not a gift, and witch elves can't get magic items, only gifts.
