I frequent a Black Templar opponent, but I think this list is pretty flexible any way you slice it. There are 5 Bright Lances, 3 Pulse Lasers, and the Fire Dragons for anti-tank, and Dire Avengers, Shuriken Cannons, and the Fire Dragon Exarch to deal with infantry. The Vehicles will not be fun to displace, and the Dire Avengers are mobile and sturdy enough to be around when objectives need capturing. My CC units are relatively small, but elite, and I plan on weathering the opponent into manageable chunks before delving in.

C&C appreciated.

Catch me if you can.

Jain Zar. In a Harlequin squad, yes. In anything else, hell no!

You have alot of different units, but you are missing one key ingredient:

The ability to assault without telegraphing where the assault is coming to your opponent.

What was BAD in 4E is worse now in 5E because I *will* sacrifice a unit to all of your CC, and run my army away from your assaulters in preparation for the following turn where I shoot them to pieces.

The Falcons are gonna sit and fire both heavy weapons? With CC troops onboard?

This list IS flexible, but it's also unfocused in a bad way.

It's a mech list without the assault or shooting focus needed to make a mech list viable. :(

Why should I ever make a semi-competitive force? Just for leisure or to delight my opponents? Lol

Against Black Templars it is not going to be very funny if you have no competitive force.
You need Banshees charging doomed Crusader units (after decimating them first via shooting), Fire Dragons to take out fire support tanks or to stop Crusaders, and DA to shoot down remnants.

Falcons with brightlances are questionable, one shot with BS 3; hit or miss. I'd give them dual shuricannons.

I'm considering dropping the Vypers and one of the Falcons for a Wave Serpent and more Banshees... I don't really like that idea though. Thoughts?

There are several changes you could make to this list that would help out. First off your hand to hand units are small and that tends to be crippling. I don't like to hit hand to hand with less than 8 models unless its a monsterous creature or something like that. I am assuming that your squads have been kept small so that you can fit on the flacons. If that is the case, then you need to rethink the weapon load outs on those falcons. If you are moving to get the hand to hand units to where they need to be, you can't fire both your weapons. What you may want to do is swap the bright lances on the transport falcons out for missile launchers. That way you can move 12 and fire both weapons (assuming you launch a plasma missile). It lowers your anti tank power somewhat, but it it gives you a really big boost in troop killing power not to mention over all fire power since you'll be able to fire more weapons on the move. Now, if you are planning on having your hand to hand units go at it on foot, you need to have your head checked. Foot units of scorpions might make it, but banshees are just going to get shot to pieces. In either case, both units are way too small to survive on foot.

In general, it looks like your list may be a bit overboard on anti tank power. Does your opponent usually bring a lot of tanks to the table? If not, then you probably want to drop a couple of lances in favor of something else. I would recommend dropping the flacon lances before the wave serpent ones. Lances on the serpents are not only more accurate, but they also don't interfear with the transport moving 12 and shooting everything.

A little lighter on the Falcons this time around, and 4 TL BL with the Wave Serpents I squeezed in. Some more anti-infantry in the form of a Fire Prism and an EML on the Falcon, and some extra Scorpions and Banshees to give a little more punch in combat. Everything is in a Vehicle (only two with Holo Fields though... *sniff*), and a good amount of firepower on the transports to throw some long-range punishment out there before having to disembark my squads. What say ye now?

It's better, but I think with a mech Eldar army--you should focus on what your second army is going to do.

i.e. Your mech is army 1.
Your troops are army 2.

Each needs to have a focus.

If I were you, I'd run this like a Tau army. Infantry get out, open fire, done.

That's how most mech armies excel.

You can make it a CC army with some fire support from Guardians or the like if you want to.

Pretty Straightforward here. The idea is to rush with the transports, blast squads to bits once I get out, and use the FD and Wave Serpents for Anti-tank. Hordes don't really scare me, and I think I can give MCs a good go with my bright lances and Fusion Guns. I'm considering taking Asurmen out, as he is a HUGE points cost, but it gives me a unit to do some serious contending with. If I did drop him, I was thinking Fuegan, but then he's a points sack too. Thoughts?

Catch me if you can.

The list looks solid. You're previsous one was decent too but I think this one will preform better. You can probably switch between the two depending on how much of a challenge you want to present your opponent with.

I haven't been fond of the Phoenix Lords since 2nd edition. Just too many points all in one place without enough force multiplying powers to really justify them. But that's just my thoughts. In a list that's not majorly competative, it should be fine. If you are looking to replace him though, a doom/guide farseer (or two) could be put in to help out the dire avengers.

The set up of your tanks and the fire dragons looks good.
