So I recently aquired a large pile of Dark Eldar for a minimal swap on my part. In said pile were 3 Talos', and also one of the reason I wanted to grab the stash, lol.
As with a lot of people, Dark Eldar have always seemed like a cool army, though now mostly inaccessable. My train of thought has also drifted towards other armies because they've all gotten some of that " new codex lovin' ". BUT I CANNOT! mostly because Im sorta stuck with the pile now, and would like to see it win a few games.

All that to say: With Haemonculus' and Talos' as a main theme (Grotesques are definetly no replacement for Wraithguard), Would this theme work? I know Ravagers are really one of the best choices for DE Heavies, alongside Splinter Cannon armed Scourges (this list is mainly going to fight Orks). But can this list work? I havent built it up yet, but the idea definetly caught my attention. If 3 Wraithlords beats peoples butts all over, why not 3 Talos'? They're not quite as focused on the field, but they really are anti-troop, with some anti-armor capabilities.

Anyways....comments/ideas/accusations? lol

Thanks!

From what I've seen of DE, Ravagers and Scourges are rather bad. You'd think that they would play alright, but the Ravager has low armour, and therefore will get popped by anyone with a decent gun. Scourges are much too squishy to be called decent. They're expensive and get killed too fast. Talos all the way. Bring some Dark Lances in the normal DE or on some Raiders.

I actually have a full body tattoo, but it's of an invisibility cloak, so you can't see it.

Talos get _much_ more effective when deployed through a webway portal.

It can be very effective to give a Haemonculus a Webway portal (even better, make sure you have 2 of them) and put it in a Raider squad or Grotesques in a Raider. Move forward, dismount. Hide the squad behind the Raider and keep the Haemonculus hidden in the squad. Then pop the portals and and rush in.

Incidentally, my Kabal includes a Talos that was converted from a Wraithlord. (My fluff says it was active at the time of the fall and the warrior spirit activating it was trapped inside and driven insane.)
