IG 1500 (88 men)
Doctrines
Cameleoline
Light Infantry
Conscripts
Close Order Drill
Iron Discipline
Light Infantry is to deploy the Weapon Squads. I wonder if Iron Discipline is still worth taking in 5th?
HQ
Junior Officer: Honorifica Imperialis, Standard Bearer, Iron Discipline, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
Sentinal: Multilaser, Hunter Killer
Anti-Tank Squad: Lascannon, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
Fire Support Sqaud: Autocannon, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
401
Officer placed to backup Conscripts. I considered dropping ID for Sharpshooter for the weapon squads.
Fast Attack
Sentinal: Multilaser
45
Elite
Hardened Veterans: 3x Melta, Veteran Sergeant, Plasma Pistol, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
105
They will use Outflank to go tank hunting. Should they be equipped with Plasma instead?
Troops:
Infantry Platoon
Junior Officer: Frag, BP+PW, BP+CCW, Carapace x2, 3x Flamer, Veteran, Iron Discipline, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
Infantry Squad: Plasmagun, Missile Launcher, Veteran, Bolter, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
Infantry Squad: Plasmagun, Missile Launcher, Veteran, Bolter, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
Infantry Squad: Plasmagun, Missile Launcher, Veteran, Bolter, Cameleoline, Light Infantry
408
Assuming cover, the ML is a longer range (less strength) Heavy Bolter that I can also use for AT.
Conscripts Platoon: Squad x3
120
This is to replace the RR cause I don't like horses. They hold up a CC squad giving me time to shoot down the rest. I could just have a second Infantry Platoon with two squads each.
Heavy Support
Leman Russ Battle Tank: Hull Heavy Bolter, Smoke
148
Leman Russ Battle Tank: Hull Heavy Bolter, Smoke
148
Basilisk: Hull Heavy Bolter, Indirect Fire
125
I am nervous about the Basilisk alone because they have a reputation. However, having an obvious target could work like the Conscripts to draw attention.
There is also no Hellhound but I don't have enough room.
Thanks for your feedback!

People can see, and shoot, your Bassies dead.
Bring a third LRBT.
Bring Hellhounds. IG + 0 Hellhounds = Suck.
Hardened vets require drop troops, come in units of 3, and always deep strike to land near tanks and meltagun them to death. It's a gold standard.
You've spent alot of points on wargear and veterans(??), for no gain. Gotta clean that up a bit.
IG + Wargear = Suck.

Thanks for the feedback.
Wargear
Hunter-Killer Missile [10] - Unlimited range shot at start of game
Veteran Sergeant, Plasma Pistol [15] - Tank hunting squad
Veteran Sergeant, BP+PW, BP, Carapace x2 [23] - Counter charge unit
48
Hellhound, Smoke
118
I could drop the Bassie, Sentinels, Wargear and bring two Hellhounds? My fear with the Hellhound is that it needs to advance forwards towards the enemy, possibly out of a great cover save.
1. What did you think of the Conscripts? Is it just better to have a second Infantry Platoon?
2. What doctrines would I replace for Drop Troops and Veterans? Don't you think Outflank could provide the same benefit?
3. Is using Light Infantry worth while in deploying the weapon squads last? Should they have sharpeshooter?
One of the SM armies I fight rushes with Rhinos and a LR Crusader. I need to take them out quickly and the drop troops will come in too late. On the other counter side, I also fight a IG army with alot of models and some tanks.
The hardest part of all this is choosing the right doctrines.

I think that if you give the conscripts flamers they will be much more effective.
BS2 lasguns?
You're talking 18pts to give them some sort of offense... as meager as it is.
