Ok folks, I am looking for the most cheesiest 2000 pt marine army that would make your opponent cry foul. Show me the lists and your story!

Sadly at 2000 points, there really isn't one.

People know all the tricks with it and don't really have a problem punking marines at 2000 points.

I'm assuming you are talking about Codex: Space Marines and not a different Codex (Red, Black, Grey come to mind).

Yes, the cheesiest cheese headed marine list from the CODEX. Sportsmanship and composition is not a concern. I want my opponent to die quickly.

Here is a shooty approach:
Take 3 Devastator squads as HS, 3 Devastator squads as Elite (using traits), some las/plas squads, and a Librarian with fota as HQ.

Roll up your codex and play whack-a-mole with your opponent's models...either that and join the darkside with Chaos where you'll get the best of many worlds.

Marines are allround good, but I can't think of anything that's particularly terrorizing...

Maybe a list with 9 Tornadoes...But no. With the new rules those things will die quick and messy in a squadron...

3 Vindies? But then where do all the other heavy weapons go...?

Oooh ooh I know, a Lysander deepstriking army with nothing but angry termies and scouts/scout bikers with teleport homers!

Give a unit of them tank hunter and 4 lascannons and enjoy!

Lascannons are not really required. Give the Devastators missile launchers and heavy bolters, but not mix.

My first knee jerk to a cheesiest of the cheese marine list is...

1x Master

1x Epistolary w/ bolt pistol, force weapon, storm shield, Fear of the Dark, Veil of Time

1x 10 snipers

3x 8 man troops w/ melts, drop pods

3x 5 man dev squad w/ 12 missile launchers and tank hunter

Yes I am using traits until the new CODEX comes out.

Anyway this was my first shot at a cheesiest of the cheese marine list.

Marines just are not cheesy compared to other lists. The new codex sounds like it will squeeze some out with the new characters. Return to Herohammer is about to arrive.

It was an objective game that was located in the middle, and he brought his all troop list with just a bassy and one russ for support. and one las squad.
I plated the bassy on turn one and las the russ on turn two. and ignored the las squad.

You'll have problems with skilled mech eldar, but that's about it. Every other army you assault on turn 2 and most likely crush completely. Melta bombs take out fast armor, Furiosos in the backfield obliterate heavy armor.

Three Landraiders in 2000 pt games would be a good starting point. Add a few Rhino squads and an Epistolary leading a large Terminator squad.

i prefer to take a landraider
a little harder to kill.
