Drop IG works great now in 5th ED I think

EX- Had to play 6 Kill point games I've won 5 out of the 6
Demons -W
Chaos- L (Didnt now non scoring units couldnt torward alive stuff)
Chaos- W
Chaos- W
Marines-W
Death Wing-W

Thats just my experince.
But drop IG do great in Objective taking as well.

These are my main Tatics

Each Drop Zone (DZ) is like this.

Will land 1 Platoon with all squads on a DZ then the HQ and Rement squad (all one troop Choice) Then Land a Vet squad to support them and a Sentinel for anti tank.

And then Visversa with the Rest of the Army.

It's funny I hope to get the whole army in but I also like a platoon to stay in resevres. And thats helped more then its hurt me.

The Two tanks are flank support they pretty much deny a flank and for some reason no one targets them.

But thats the Idea behind it.

I have 110 scoring models in the Army then
40 Contesting models in the Army
and 6 Tanks(sent's)

If yall have better thoughts and such let me know. Thats how I win Bring one platoon into one concetrated area and destory that force.

Oooooooh, I would love to play against that. My orks would love a good krumpin against I guard. Even when I lose against Iguard it was always fun killing 'ooomies' buy the masses. I hope to see more Iguard in 5th!

I have 3 epicast drop pods for my orks but am unsure if I can use them. The last time I used them was in Armageddon in 3rd edition when we had rules for 'drop pod boyz' who would face a random direction and shoot whoever was in front of them.

It looks like nearly all of your games have been against MEQ (and demons, who are weak to shooting). What is the typical list your opponents set up? Is it small and choked with elites, like plaguemarines and oblits, that sort of thing?

How do you do against hordes (Orks), gunline (Tau), and mech (eldar)?

It does look like a good list, but it's more or less tailored to spanking Marines, which is all you've played against.

Tau(there a bit tough) I do fine Elder Fine as well.

Beaten both those armies in obj's. Have not got to play orks yet.

Those armies are just the ones in Kill points.

The MEQ killing and making isnt meant to kill marines(IT does) but not what I made it for.

The Plasma is better then Grenade lanchuer's that's why I take it.

Vs Orks or another Horde it should do Fine have 140+ models weight of fire.

And alot of tank shots.

These where just my Ideas on the Army really and my experince of running them.

nice list. i too would be interested to hear how it fares against an ork horde or two.
