Why submit anonymous comments on my blog? You can PM me here. lol

Well anyway the question I was posed was 'Can you make a Kairos Fateweaver Build that doesn't suck?'

Minus the at the end. lol

No Herald spam either, apparently.

We only tested this list twice a few months back, but it seemed to work fine.

Kairos
Masque
2 x 13 Plaguebearers (1 unit has a Icon)
2 x 5 Bloodcrushers (1 unit has a Icon)
3 x Soul Grinders (All with Phlegm)

Kairos lands with the PB and crushers in the first wave.
Masque lands with the Grinders in the second wave.

You can fail the 3+ and still be fine, Masque + Grinder templates = ouch.

That's your shooting firebase.

The plaguebearers go in front, giving the bloodcrushers a cover save (not really important but hey everyone likes cover saves).
Bloodcrushers sit in front, giving the soulgrinders and Kairos a cover save (this IS important).

Sure the Masque will die PDQ, but if you can suck 3 units into a jumble and hit them with the grinders...yeah it's not fun to be under that.

Anyway you'll find the grinders can pop shots into you forever since they are very difficult to kill (AV13, 4+ cover save, rerollable) and can sit in the middle and hit you everywhere.

Remember if you have the grinder weapons up high on the torso (everyone locally seems to) you won't get cover saves from them firing at you because the crushers aren't tall enough to block LOS.

So you'll want to get close to hit them (or Kairos) to knock them out.

Plaguebearers will hold against your shooting (yes, really) and against your close combat (yes, really).

Bloodcrushers will too, and when you come close...you have a turn to kill either Kairos or the Grinders before the Bloodcrushers wreck you.

If you bring LR and assault termies or a BT army, the PM will take your charge, the Bloodcrushers will counterattack, and the defilers will (if possible) run into your LR and smack them around like kittens (if they hit but 5 attacks...sucks).

Anyway I hope people understand why this list scares me and others don't.

From what i can tell 3 soulgriders might be the only fun way to play CD

Fun, perhaps.

Competitive, slight chance.

Are bloodcrusher really large enough to obscure a soulgrinder? or does any unit in the way give a cover save to a vehicle?

Falcon Punch!
