The overall tactics of this army to keep my enemy in mid-range and hopefully the slash should stop any close combat squads getting to close and the large blast template should help against hordes

Seems to be a mix of everything.
Take 2 lash Princes, fill the HS slots (3x2 Obliterators would be nice), add troops (2x PM & 2x TS), and fill the rest with Termies.

no more points left to do that i already have enough plague marines and i might get rid of defiler for obliterators later on il try out defiler first

Hey Xav, no need for serial posts since there is an edit button.

First, a Sorcerer with MoS can only cast one power per turn. Give him lash and wings, nothing else.
Now it appears that you have one PM and two TS squads (writing incomplete). That's a reasonable choice.
The HS choices are important, but certainly my favorite choice.

who is the land raider for? its a big point drain and doesnt seem to be doing much.

id drop the defiler and the vindicator for obliterators. they are better.

the trouble with 1Ksons in 5th is that all the 4+ cover save makes them vitually redundant. to get the most out of them with lash you will beed 2 lash bearers. otherwise id suggest you take noise marines instead.

Just some suggestion Loose the landraider, take raptors with a winged DP, use obliterators I run 6 in a 2000 pt game. Give the raptor meltas for tank hunting, put your 1000 sons in rinos you can shoot 2 of them out of the top (Bolt of change, or gifts is a lot of fun) I would use a defiler people are going to waist a bunch of shots on and the battle cannon is up high enough for the line of site rules.

Plant your defiler as a decoy if you are going to use Terminators drop them later on, dont start them on the board.

Only if you move 6" or less.

Rather pointless to take a Rhino.

But, no one listens to me...

Bring the rhinos, they're so exciting to see. :S

Rhinos are good because 100 sons are SBP and they may take a long time to get there shots off.

lol im thinking of the ditching the Rhino and im gonnna try out 1 8man squad of noise marines with 8 sonic blasters and doom siren instead 1 squad of TS il se which ones i like best

get a chaos thousand sone sorcere with a familiar and deamonic steed give him gift of chaos warp time and bolt of change and melta bombs

gift of chaos is awesome because you can turn your enemies into spawns if you roll higher than there toughnes and it is under your controll

Dear Stelek,

I'll bite, did you miss that they are armed with Rapid Fire Weapons and are not relentless? Shoot 24 inches only if not moving? Or are you assuming a successful Lash into range?

Wuestenfux, 6 obiterators-9 obliterators sounds fine, but my games againts Orks I wished I had three Vindicators instead.....So, I wonder....

Thousand Sons (again). I've had trouble getting these to work- and I've got three lovely squads each in a different color!. Yes, killy against Marines. But, you're paying for the 4+ invulnerable save, while units hidden in terrain can get the same save for free. I find it easier to use the Noise Marines, move and shoot....

what would you say about switching the empty land raider for 5 havocs with 4 lascannons?

I'd say you were crazy?

Lascannons are 35 points each with havocs.

5 havocs with 4 missile launchers, maybe... might be good if you play with a lot of 3+ save terrain (bunkers you can plant them in to increase their durability)

but 5x havocs with 4 lascannons... crazy. You can get 3 oblits for that many points.

havocs look more fun plus i dont want more obliterators what you recommend i get with 220points then

too many obliterators boring 4 lascannons will be interesting

or 10 CSMs or 5 more termies or 8 noise marines 8 sonic blasters

i could have 5 havoc for missles launchers and add 1 more obliterator
