This is my first marine list at all, I chose BA cause of the fast assualty type they are, here it is...

(175)HQ Lemartes
Death Company x4 with jump packs

(280)Troops
broken into 2 5 man combat squads - 5 assualty with vet sgt with PF / flamer and BA Rhino
other 5 sit back with las cannon

Should be about 1245ish, I was looking for a 1250 list so I am pretty close to what I want points wise... the idea is to rush the Pred's and 2 Rhino's with overcharged engines up into the face of my enemy bust out with flamer's from the pred's and the 2 squads, with Lemartes coming up on a flank or from behind for a counter assualt with the dev squads and the 2 5 man tac's with las cannon for cover/anti tank... am I full of it thinking this might work? Help me, if I am way off, this is my first marine list, thanks!

Lemartes and the troops are fine. I suggest to replace the Dev squad with an Assault squad; two squads of 5 with one lascannon simply don't cut it. Give the Baal heavy bolter sponsons.

If you are running Blood Angels, run the Jumpwing or don't run them at all.

They suck at shooting. Don't try to be a marine army with a Death Company.

Should be right around 1250, I know its light on AT but by turn 2 I should be in your grill with 1 of 2 nasty assualt crews, the Honor Guard with Dante or DC with Lemartes, and the Baal can be used for a screen, or if its alive towards the end a objective contestor!

Its a fluffy BA army. Some meltas for anti-tank would be nice.

With the set up I found a way to get 3 units of troops with PF, so its still the same with 3 units of 5 instead of the 2 units, and thanks ill look at my points and see where I can try and find some melta's maybe, thanks again.

STELEK you should play an army before you talk like a knuckle head...any day you want a piece of my BA. I use Preds w/ T.L.LAS and HB(x2),Razor w/T.L.Las,DREAD. w/ T.L.Las and 10 snipers, a vindy..10 mrns(x2) 1 rhino,1-* man vets w/ l.clws(x2),and some other stuff... YOU ARE A ONE WAY STREET, and a DEAD END at that.PLEASE REPLY SMELEK.

Looks better.

IMO,the Honor guards are too fluffy.I mean that their equipments occupied too many points.Combat shield and the techmarine are not necessary.

anyways, keeping a nice look on a BA army you need a baal and some DC in there, its thier TM units
dante with honour guards is a great unit for pure combat.
but even something small like a dev squad with 4 lascannons could really help with anti armour.

i really dislike the idea of devs in BA armys especially if your trying to play assaulting/jumpwing style armies, which i personally like best on BAs , a single deep strike/ infiltrating squad will find itself only that to target and boom down go your devs and if their your only main anti tank against any kind of mech army they will do their damndest to drop em fast

but a small devie squad in cover will last for a while, and splitting them will be a massive headache, but maybe you should give em 2 more las so that they each have two. But the main advantage of the BA's is that they're fast, and you don't have that in your army. Replace at least one tactical squad with an assault squad, the devie squad is enough anti tank when working with your assaulters
