So, I am going to be playing alot of games with week with some friends and am thinking about a necron list. Here is what I have come up with:

HQ:
Lord, with Res orb, phase shifter warscythe

Troops:
10 warriors
10 warriors
10 warriors
10 warriors

Fast Attack:
10 scarabs
10 scarabs
10 scarabs

Heavy Support:
Monolith

Pretty simple plan, march the warriors, turbo boost the scarabs and deep strike the monolith. Maybe start it on the board, I dont know. I usually never take a monolith, so I kind of just want to try one out in a friendly setting. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Falcon Punch!

I'd not bring the monolith myself, and not so many warriors.

Scarabs need to have disruption fields, at least 2 of those units should have 'em.

I'd bring heavy destroyers and/or immortals. Necrons have serious issues at 1500 points.

Oh and drop the phase shifter. Your lord can't invulnerable save being run down in close combat. lol

I'd drop the Phase Shifter and the Warscythe from the Lord. With not much to back him up in HtH, the scythe alone won't make enough of a difference, a Staff of Light would be a better choice. Likewise I'd take either a Veil of Darkness or a Nightmare Shroud instead of the Phase Shifter.

For tactics, I wouldn't march them anywhere unless you're fighting an army that really out ranges you, such as Tau. I would generally use my Scarabs to tie up any heavy weapon toting troopers, blast their troops with the Monolith, and try to make them march into you so you get the first shots at 24", and can move in for the first Rapid Fire shots at 12".
