Yeah Im really dying to learn more about the tile set that comes with it, how many are there? Are double sided like the last set? I like a good table with scenery but its nice to be able to lay tiles out at a freinds house and convert another player to the dark side of pre paints...LOL

Yeah the tiles are the big mystery Im hoping that thiers more tiles or they are bigger!!??
Ive heard differant numbers if what you saying is true and they are like the other tiles then that gives you a two foot by two foot playing surface! And with the mention of battles in the open its throwing me a curve ball to make sense of it... A 3 by 4 foot area is ideal for 2000 point games so Im hopping thiers more either way I hope they insire me to build something cool for a ice /snow table to be used for the campaign league think they mention will be out this fall ,all in all its a great time to be into this game this time last year not so....: )

There are now two sets, double sided 2d scenic tiles 12'x12' when added with the contaners, bunkers, wall sections and any other 3-D terrain you may have, it gives you a great easy to play, any place, AT-43 world to play on.
The operation frostbite box has a mission book with battle field set ups for each mission, its a cool marrage of tabletop gaming and boardgame you have missions on 2x3 3x3 3x4 4x4 and 6x4 sizes in both the Frostbite and the Damocles Campaign books Im a big fan of how terrain and playing surface is covered by the game planners as something you can get you hands on, if your not an terrain artist or lack the space for a table set up at home, these look good ,are made well with a nice glossy finish and can actully inspire people like myself who build scenery to make it in 3d or at least parts of it. very usable for any game system!
Hope that helps!

Hellfury wrote:I have a question Empire about the tiles.

We already covered the frozen lake deal, but what other terrain features are repped on the board?

I ask because we have two snow boards here and while I love the tiles for AT-43 has already made, I would prefer more dimension in my gaming and would like to replicate whats repped on the tiles.

There's a lot of items featured in the missions and terrain book (the smaller one) they combine both sets to make different playing areas, lots of ideas for making some awesome terrain pieces like-the Karman Tarmac space port & Caves of Doubt sounds like a fun ones!
But some special terrain that's listed or mentioned in missions ; ICE FLOW; Water; Crevasse; shipwreck; rocky peaks.

You really need to look at the missions to get a better feel for whats needed if one could make 3d scenic copies of the tiles that would rock or a set of smaller scenic pieces to go along with the 2d tiles would be very cool also. and then theres the transports those are just screaming to be kit bashed but heak with all the game replay thats in this package thier all kinds of time to do prodjects to go along with this anyone with a creative imagination is going to go nuts with this stuff!

and the shipping question is Ill match the "other" stores....

Tetchy wrote:Dang! I hate Rackham's treatment of us UK citizens! Why are we always last to get their stuff! None of this is even on advance order anywhere in the UK yet...

*sulks*

Im wondering if it maybe due to the US having "Fantasy flight Games" as the distributor?
this also reminds me of Flames of War Battlefront just set up a distibuter in England and that seemed to help get the fans what they wanted on time with thier release planning, Im wondering if the UK has any funny import red tape that may cause you all delays??
We still love our redcoat brothers but the french only love them selfs...so thiers that! LOL
