Do Blood Claws get +2 attacks on the counter-attack per their Berserk charge rule? Counter-attack states, pg. 74 of the rulebook, "...the unit gets the +1 assault bonus to their attacks, exactly as if they too had assaulted that turn." Berserk Charge says, pg. 10 of the SW Codex, "They receive the a bonus of +2 attacks when they charge, rather than only +1 attack as is normally the case."
Also, and this is a more general question, can walkers go up levels in buildings? Since they move like infantry, they should be able to, but I don't know if I've missed a rule in regards to vehicle movement that might somehow apply.

The building rules are horribly written. So technically, walkers have issues in buildings.
Yes blood claws get +2 to their attacks, you've got it right.

Walkers don't have issues in buildings because they can't enter them in the first place. Buildings are treated the same as Transport vehicles, so only infantry can embark.
In Ruins, however, they are specifically allowed to move up and down levels. Page 83.

Yeah, I accidentally found the answer to the walker question on pg. 83
And that is crazy about walkers not entering buildings. You're right, but it's still crazy. Sorry behemoth, you can destroy the building and then enter the remains, but you can't politely enter through the large warehouse doors while it's still intact.

sorry to return to the second post, but when a Plague Marine squad assaults a bloodclaw squad- what happens?
P.38 Codex CSM wrote:
"Blight Grenades: These are defensive grenades, whick means that enemy units do not gain their bonus Attacks for charging if they are assaulting a unit of Plague Marines."
P.74 Codex BGB wrote:
Counter-Attack
"...To represent this, when a unit with this rule is assaulted by the enemy it must take a leadership test. If the test is successful all models gain the +1 assault bonus to their attacks, exactly as if they had assaulted that turn..."
Do the grenades take effect because the bloodclaws are counter-charging?
(I dont have the bloodclaw rules on me- sorry)

Plague Marines deny everyone bonus attacks.
Just like Tau with Photon Grenades do.
Chaos Demons too, with the assault/defensive grenades upgrade.
It's why the Slaanesh chariots are so good for their Heralds. It's really hard to drag them down with basic attacks, since you don't get any. lol

The actual wording of defensive grenades says models assaulting...Counter attack says models get the +1 attack bonus, as if they had assaulted. It does not say they count as assaulting.

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase. |
