I've been reading through the Black Templars codex...and I've read everywhere... seems to my understanding you must take a Commander or Chaplain in order to field a Terminator or Initiate command squad? Is this correct?

Also, for the Emperor's Champion, can he join non-command squads like a normal Crusader Squad? It simply says he may not be attached to any command squads...Thanks.
