this is very much modeled after steleks JB list. in his eldar analysis i liked the list and it got me thinking...

i restructured some things and the basic gist is: hand out spears to (almost) all, split the guardian JB squads, and remove one fire prism. im interested what you think cause i may go ahead and put it together for tourney play.

list is as follows
farseer (JB, spear,stone,doom,fortune,guide)
w/ council (x3, 3xspear, destructor,embolden,enhance)

farseer (JB, spear,warding,fortune)
w/ council (x3, 3xspear, destructor,embolden,enhance)

3x3 JB guardians (shurCan) w/ warlock (spear,embolden)

3x3 JB guardians (shurCan) w/ warlock (witchBl,embolden)

2x fire prism (holofld,stone)

basically losing one of the fire prisms takes away anti-mob (in the form of an extra pie plate) and anti-armour. but this is compensated for by giving most all who can carry it a singing spear (anti-armour) and splitting up the guardians and giving each group a warlock (anti mob). first, splitting these squads makes for more targets, that is, having a squad wiped out by a single hardhitting squad is less devastating even giving you the option of sacrificing a squad or two to oncoming cc mobs giving you a round to react. second, splitting the squads gives you 12 extra twinlinked shuricat shots.

like i said, im interested to hear what you guys think.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Nod.

I wouldn't mind taking on this list with my Purgura Marines and a librarian.

I'm thinking a similar build too, I'm just determined to have one or two wave serpent units (at least of of Storms, one of banshees or dragons) and just the one seer.

Since I'm starting my first eldar army, though, I think I'll start with the cloudstrike squadron boxed set and see how tri-falcons goes.. will prob convert two into Prisms at some point.

You may need more than two prisms and a pile of spearlocks in the ranged aspect - it depends on your game plan. Shuricats are a bit meh.

Just buy Prisms and you will already have all the bitz you need for both.

It's a pretty good list. A happy medium with some large JB squads and some small ones might be better at sticking around against enemies who can divide their fire to cover that many targets (Guard especially), while still multiplying your targets. It also makes KP missions less brutal. Regarding the Farseer's gear, with the high BS of the spear-wielders and the many TL weapons of this list, Guide will be helping out a single Prims at most, if one is even close enough to gain the benefit. I'd say dump Guide, and put the points elsewhere. I see no reason not to give every bike Seer a spear, unless you're unable to spare anything else. The Guide points would be well spent here.

Also, I've found that a single jetbike council is better balanced by a unit of Spears and Autarch than another jetbike council. You already have tons of anti-infantry fire, and the Spears make a much better CC bail-out than the straight-up council, IMO. Withdraw helps you make a difference in more combats over the game. You will have to protect your Spears carefully, but they're a valuable resource. Stelek would probably tell you to stick with more of the same and the resilience of redundancy, but I really do think the powerweapons will matter.
