Seems they've fixed the issue to do with Skulltakers' M value..... thought they'd said they weren't going to do that sort of change anymore ? Still, GW changing their minds ! Go figure.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a game Friday. Skulltaker with M5 helps alot! I'm glad they ended the silly debat if the Flames of Tzeentch we a 'flaming attack' or not. Too bad about the Great Banner of Sundering vs Dispel Magic and Invocation of Nehek. Oh well, I'm not suprised. Its cool the Undead can hear the Siren's Song now. Funny. -K

Sucks on the Sundering Standard, it just makes it so the Daemon player needs to take more Tzeench Heralds now.

Guess that notches VC up over Daemons, at least in my opinion.

I dunno, until the VC's can handle a Bloodthirster homing in their Vampire Lord with murder on its mind I'm not sure I can consider them a notch up.

Does a Bloodthirster with both Axe of Khorne and Firestorm Blade make Strength 7 Flaming Attacks with Killing Blow Special rule?

Yes, he does. He must use all the effects of the two Gifts and cannot choose not to use one of them.

Stelek- There actually are a number of unit in the game that are immune to flaming attacks, so there actually are cases where he wouldn't want to use both.

Because the Sundering Standard doesn't affect Invocation, the Blood Thirster will never get a bead on the Vampire Lord as he will be sitting behind another unit with no where for the BT to land and engage him.

Without being able to limit the number of Invocations the Vampires can throw out, it's going to be hard for the BT to engage a block of infantry and not be stuck there the entire time.

So basically this just means that if you want to run competitive Daemons, you're going to need a lot of horror units and/or 3 Wizards for Heralds to go with your Blood Thirster.

Since you can't turn it off, and you use all effects...what was the point of this comment?

It's the same squalid joy I get watching the stock standard I WIN / NUH UH NO YOU DIDN'T YOU CHEATED argument twixt a couple of fat nine-year-olds with Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
