I have a match against Nids in a couple of days (will be posted with pics when complete)and I've made this list for a fun game not to mop the floor with him so what do ya think.

Emperors champ with accept any challenge
Chaplian with PF TH JP bionics and frag grenades

Troops
2 lots of 8 initiates 4 neophytes with flamer (BP CCW)
8 initiates with heavy bolter (bolters)

Elites
5 termies with 2 assault cannons and 2 chainfists
venerable dreadnought with heavy flamer and extra armour

Fast attack
5 innitiates with PF SS and 2 plasma pistols

total cost 1500

If this is for nids, you don't really need the CFs in there...

Otherwise, looks promising. Can't really dog on a list that's meant for fun!

Ahhh. Well I'm glad to see someone who plays WYSIWYG AND makes lists for fun.

You have no mobility in the army. Your units will most likely receive the charge rendering the flamers useless. This will not be fun, or will it? Moreover, you're army stacks up too many points in HQs. They don't win you the game.

I'd take 2 Rhino squads with flamers, power fists; some shooty support units that can take on the hive minded creatures (Termies can do it if you let them deep strike).

Only use this list against other "for fun" players. Any decent list will take this and destroy it purely from shooting.

You might want to invest in a lot more neophytes. In fact, drop the assault squad, go Chap+3x Cerobytes in one 20 man, and EC+20 man in another, put Helbretch in whichever.

I would make the dread Las+ML+Tank hunters, and find a way to lower that squad to 5-6, take a las(Plas if you want it), and a Lazerback. That will be decent AT in 1500p. At least the Sniper Dread. You haven no AT, after all.

Though WYSIWYG may destroy those ideas, I just want to put them out.

Hes no the best player so thats why I've wasted heaps of points on HQs. and I really wanted to use helbrecht cause I just finished painting him. PS he has no monsterous creatures so i dont really need any tank hunters

Tooling lists are bad, don't do it.

You can use Helbretch, put him in one of the 20 man crusader squads. Works well. If you don't need take hunters, then take pred destructors, or LRC's. But, tooling is bad. I'm trying to get you a balanced list that can take nids, but if you want to tool.... Go 2x LRC's, an EC, Helbretch, 2x 14 man crusader squads, then as many vindis as you can fit, it may be one. That will kill no-Zilla nids.

8 neophytes
helbrecht, masters of chapter jumppack chaplian EC, 2 other Marshals
Ven dread, 15 termies
5 assault marines
2 vindicators 1 razorback

So if I was tooling it I would take Vindicators all my Terminators and spend the rest on the EC a cheap HQ and the rest in long range fire power.

If you really want to make a list untooled with what i've got go ahead

Well, looking at that, your list isn't that bad. I still say drop to a laserback(dakka back if you need to) in the shooting squad, and take a ML over a HB. Frag kills nids, crack kills the heavy stuff. Other then that, it should do quite well. Sorry, I was too harsh/beardy before. Please forgive me.

I don't know where you can get these points however. I'd say drop the Assault Squad+Chap, but I don't think you want to. At least drop a Initiate in the shooty squad, and take a ML. It should be fun to play, and it is somewhat fluffly.
