I mainly verse tau, space marines, and chaos all are heavy ranged i need some advise on how to built the best anti-range/ get there the fastest army.

1 winged tyrant(winged, scything talons, bone sword & lash whip)
1 hive tyrant( venom cannon, bone sword & lash whip)
1 Broodlord

2 lictors

9 warriors

24 termagaunts

24 hormagaunts

10 genestealers

4 gargoyles

1 raverner

3 zoanthropes

1 carnifex(crushing claws, scything talons, scything tail)

1 canifex( scything talons, barbed strangler, mace tail)

You can either run at the enemy, or you can move and fire at the enemy.

Tyrands don't do both well.

With the models you have, I'd run at the enemy with all that stuff. Might not be the most effective, but at least you'll figure out how to play it properly. Then you can build on it.

I find that only carnifexes really survive the gun fire so im probably going to get a 3rd 1

yes a 3rd one would be good maybe more gargoyles to there week but useful. otherwise i dont see what else you can do.
