Used to be into this many years ago, but gave up due to the expense (couldn't afford both 40k and drinking ) One of my cousins started recently and i had a lot of fun helping him put together an army. Once i'd managed to get my head round the new rules...

I had always enjoyed the painting and modelling side over the actual playing of the game; maybe because i'm an Eldar player, but also because all my friends had rich parents who could afford to buy effective armies rather than the ones they could simply scrape together. Resulting in me having some rather nifty looking miniatures, but suffering crushing defeat almost everytime i played.

Now, i am a working man Meaning that i can hopefully afford (nice to see that the one thing GW has managed to keep constant is the cost of it's products ) to make somesthing competitive this time. As well as looking lovely.

Hey J., you could to for a small elite army and Eldar armies are of this type. Buying 2nd hand models from Ebay helps to keep a low budget.
