Going to be playing in a 1500 point RTT at the LA Battle Bunker this Sunday (Composition counts). I’ve played a few practice games in 5th, but other than that havn’t played since 3rd, so I expect to be a bit rusty and make some rookie mistakes. This list isn’t especially forgiving when it comes to making mistakes, but I’m familiar with it’s capabilities from 3rd edition.

Avatar - 155

10 Guardians w/ Scatter Laser, Warlock w/ embolden – 125
10 Guardians w/ Scatter Laser, Warlock w/ embolden – 125
3 Jetbikes; cannon – 76
5 Pathfinders - 120

8 Fire Dragons - 128
1 Waveserpent; BL, SS - 145
10 Striking Scorpions; Exarch w/ chainsabres - 177
1 Waveserpent; EML, SS - 130

1 Wraithlord; EML, BL - 155
1 Wraithlord; EML, BL - 155

Total: 1491

Concerns:
Do both Guardian squads need embolden, given that the majority of the game they’ll be hugging the Avatar? Would Conceal be useful to increase their survivability – perhaps just on one squad?

Do I need the BL on the Dragons serpent? Downgrading to EML, which still gives me anti-tank utility frees up 15 points.

Do the Scorpions need a transport? In my practice games it didn’t seem like they did, but having that 2nd Waveserpent around kind of opens up the army and allows me to pick up and drop off Guardian squads over objectives if need be.

Spearhead:
Avatar
2 Wraithlords
2 Guardian Squads
Mobile Attack:
Fire Dragons
Striking Scorpions
Jetbikes
Static Firepower:
Pathfinders

Yes, conceal, on both. It massively helps survivability. Doesn't seem like enough, who knows. I don't like wraithlords, they die to easily. 3-4 S8+ AP2-3=Dead wraithlord. Not hard, at all. I also don't think guardians should be part of a spearhead, but you'd have to playtest it.

Its a horrible list. Avatar needs to be fortuned. The Jetbike squad is too small. I'd replace the Scorpions by Banshees.
