I'm interested in running a large Nurgle army, and for once I will try something without Obliterators.

HQ
Typhus - 225 pts.

Daemon Prince, with Mark of Nurgle, Wings and Warptime. - 175 pts.

Elites
5 Chaos Terminators, with Icon of Nurgle, four combi-plasma guns, two powerfists, and one reaper autocannon. - 255 pts.

4 Chaos Terminators, with Icon of Nurgle, four combi-flamers, two powerfists, three lightning claws and one heavy flamer. - 235 pts.[/b]

8 Plague Marines, with two plasma guns, personal Icon, Rhino with extra armour, and champ with PF. - 309 pts... ouch.

Total points value: 2646 pts.

Ok, basic plan is... Typhus rides with the four Termies with the flamer in the LR, moving fowards alongside the DP to get into assault, where Typhus can employ his force/daemon weapon and Nurgle's Rot. He also has Blight grenades, so that his squad can counter charges.
The Plague Marines in their pimpin' Rhinos drive into bolter range and disembark (in cover hopefully) to provide fire support to the DP and Typhus. The footslogging DakkaTermies will Deep Strike next to the squad with an Icon and start blasting away. They will rapid-fire their plasma guns at light vehicles/HQs/MCs/anything valuable that comes in range. The Vindicators come last, firing their Demolishers and havoc launchers on anything in range.

Kinda of a lame idea now, but I'm working on it...

Instead of the DP and vindis I'd run a 2nd LR, and add Abaddon to that other unit of termies.

Strip all the extra junk off the termies, make them khorne with LC and 1 fist.

Should be able to afford it then.

I'd strip the PM down so they are just beater squads with meltaguns (lose the champ, the rhinos extra armor) and add another squad of these guys.

Did you read the post at all, this is going to go a NURGLE army not so bitsa list with khorne here and zteench there, NURGLE! so no khorne marks, adandon might fit in but yer expensive. ui like the list the way it is

Stelek suffers from a reading disability - anything that he doesn't agree with, he can't read.

I like the list, and it's a cool idea, but the points value seems odd... maybe tone it down for 2500 points, instead of 2646? And I'm just sayin... chaos terminators are not worth using unless you put them in a unit of 8+. Especially with mark of nurgle or tzeentch. If I were you, I think I'd run typhus, the DP, all the marines, one squad of 7 terminators (add in typhus and Land raider), and the 2 vindicators, and then maybe you'll be at 2500.

change a squad of PM with meltas you could drive them in with the rhino dismebark and destroy a tank or something keep the vindicators

how exactly are you doing to deal with tanks when your vindicators and LR get wrecked on turn 1? i can bring a lot of lascannon/bright lances/dark lances/venom cannon/railguns/melta weapons at 2646pts (why?) so 3 threatening vehicles wont really worry me. then i can just drive around blowing up rhinos at my leasure. i would probably swap the plasmas on the PMs to meltas. scrap the extra armour on the rhinos, it very rarely matters. that will save you 100pts in total.

vindicators with extra armour instead of demonic possession makes me weep inside. being able to move and fire is much better than just being able to move. most of the results you will roll on the vehicle damage chart will be crew stunned or crew shaken, so being immune to those effects will greatly increase its usefulness. addtionally, any benifit gained from adding a secondary weapon is outweighed by the vehicles application as mobile cover and a tank-shocker/rammer. useing those abilities will require you to move over 6" more often than not so you would not be able to fire the bolter anyway. doesnt save you any points but it makes your army better.

you dont need a havoc launcher on a land raider, it has enough trouble deciding which gun to fire as it rolls along at a measly 6" (thousand sons can run faster than that. isnt that depressing). dropping the havoc launcher saves you 15pts.

nurgle terminators are best run in large squads to spread the weighty cost of that icon. have you considered merging them inot one large DSing squad? they would be more effective for a lower cost. i know you want to have some termies keeping typhus company (its lonely and plague ridden at the top) but you could merge the squads saving you 30pts and put a plague marine squad in the raider with typhus, negating the need for a rhino and saving you 35pts for a total of 65pts.

alternatively you could scrap the demon prince, have 2 landraiders as dedicated transports for the termies (giving you a little more anti-tank) and opening up a Heavy slot. i suggest at the very least that you move the landraider you have to a dedicated transport for the termies and add some havocs or another vindicator.

those things would make your army better. will it make it good? only time will tell. sooner or later, time will tell. (although i have a feeling that you wont like the result)
