Although most cover saves in 5th are 4+ how does that affect Eldar conceal and Ork kustomer force field
cover saves when their codex states that it is 5+? I expected it to be 4+ but wouldn't the codex trump
anything unless their was an faq (i could not find one)?

While it says most cover saves are 4+, this is just a generalisation.

Most of the cover saves you get from being in cover is 4+. Conceal doesn't count you as being in cover, but simply conferring a cover save of a specific value. (in the same way armour give an armour save of a value and Iron Halos give an invulnerable save of a particular value)

Ork KFF specifically states that it grants a 5+ coversave to infantry. No doubt there.

A Warlock with Conceal provides his whole squad with a 5+ coversave. No doubt there.

The CFF gives non vehicles a 5+ inv save and cause vehicles to count as obscured.

According to page 62 in the rulebook a special rule or piece of wargear that confers obscured gives the vehicle a 4+ save.

Conceal however has no affect on vehicles at all as it does not say anything about making vehicles obscured.

In short GW rulings are void!
