This is a rough list - I haven't nailed down the exact points, but roughly it looks like this:

Traits: Trust battle brothers, Wisdom of the ancients, suspicion and that one that limits your tanks (doing this from memory).

HQ - Lib, jump pack, fear of darkness, artificer armor, - Might of heros.

HQ - Lib, term, armor, fear of darkness, fury of the ancients, termie command squad, cyclone, hv flamer, tank hunters - drop pod and deathwind.

Elite: 6 cc termies, furious charge, 4 LC, 2 thunder hammers. No drop pod.

Elite: Venerable dread, extra armor, standard, smoke. - Deathwind pod.

Elite: Venerable dread, extra armor, mm and flamer, smoke. Deathwind pod.

Troops:

2 squads in deathwind pods, PF, combi melta, melta gun, Counter attack/true grit.
2 squads in deathwind pods, Msl launcher, plasma gun, counter attack, true grit.

FA:

Landspeeder, extra armor, mm and hv flamer.

10 assault marines, thunder hammer, combi flamer, 2 flamers, maybe krak or melta bombs. No drop pod.

This list has 7 deathwind pods. Orginally I planned for 9 (more tac squads), but the whole Kill Points thing made me try to cut back - too many already!

The basic idea is to drop close, eliminate everyone in the area, then make your enemy charge through a hail of bolter and deathwind to get to you vs. cc army, or drop disperced against a shooty army and go for maximum mayhem. Not sure it can handle a mobile enemy, however, it is good for claiming objectives vs such a foe.

Any suggestions?

Well if you want a drop podded army, then every unit should be drop podded or deep striking. The Assault squad is out of place unless it deep strikes; there are better choices.

The only thing I can add to this is that at 2500 points people are going to be filling their deployment zone. The question is what type of drop podding are you going to do against that? Land on the outside off their entire army and hope your in range of a tank? Even if you try to Boo their army they are going to be a mile or two away from the back end of the deployment and will be able to regroup. Horde armies are going to have np taking BOO and staying in place.

I guess you built this list vs what you normally see on your boards?

All armies get a counter charge now because of the new assault rules. The only thing your getting from the skill is an extra attack. The down side is that if something is charging you for hth its going to rip your units up. That charging unit is built for hth and that something your going to have to fight off. Personally I would go with the dbl special weapon trait over the other ones.

Flip side will be that some armies will have the ability to blow you up as you enter play.

Best of luck though

Hmmm - thanks for the notes. I know the HTH specialist will be tough - I do think that some (orks) will struggle vs 3 attacks each initiative 4 space marines. I think 3 pts each is worth it for the 2 extra attacks when charged. And hopefully I will be able to get a turn of shooting against most of them. The tables we play on are big, but the point about enemies filling the deployment zone is well taken.

Should I drop the termie command squad and/or assault squad for more tactical guys? Or should I go regular command squad so I can fit in a chapter master for the whole army Ld 10 thing?

I'd drop the Assault squad for another drop podded tactical squad. Then the jump pack Librarian is out of place. You could replace him by a Master in terminator armor leading another Cmd squad.
