I've been playing around with lists that can take on numbers and Eldar (No mech). I'm not really taking this list to a bunch of tournaments it's only really a local meta thing but I like to win. The lists I mainly face are 3 Nid Zilla lists with a slight numbers theme behind that, thry have varying set ups but are basically the same. There are also 2 ork lists that are just numbers and a few vehicles. I also play a good deal against Eldar but there is only one Eldar player and his list isn't really vehicle heavy. The other lists I have never had any problems with at any point, these are 2 Necrons, 1 SM and 1 Grey Knights.

As for the list it's pretty straight forward. Sometimes the termies and Oblits DS to the charging Zerkers. I'd do this against anything that I felt was almost pointless trying to assault just using the Zerkers as a vehicle for their personal Icon to DS to. The PM squads are there for the Sorcs to join into to so they have some kind of guard to stand around them. I've been using the HB Havocs and the ML/HB Dread to great effect in my games already. The Dread took out an entire squad of dire avengers by itself in two turns and then killed the majority of another squad. The havocs are there for volume of fire. We have almost no LOS blocking terrain at my FLGS so I just park them in the 7 story ruin we have (it's almost always on the table) and they rain down death from above. I love the basic CSM and I know they catch a lot of flac for not being good enough against the cultists but I haven't had any problems with them. They really have been doing well against the Eldar, Orcs, and Tyranids at lower points. Does this list seem solid enough to compete against horde and Eldar lists at the 2000 point level? If not what could I change to make those match ups better and if it is good what are my real weaknesses against other lists?

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

Drop the dread.

I'd convert all the CSM into Kult troops.

The small PM squads should be beefed 1 or 2, and given meltaguns for tank hunting (or MC hunting in your case).

The termies are illegal--you can't have 2 heavy weapons with only 5 guys.

Havocs really need more bodies.

You know your local metagame but...if you like to win, this list isn't going to do it for you.

CSM squad can not rally under half-strength.Give them icon,or straightly convert them into Cult Legions.
