The fluff has always got gun servitors trudging about shooting off heavy bolters and all their other mega weapons. Reading through the various codices I see no indication that they're free from the heavy weapon stationary/shoot restriction.

Anybody know of anything that lets gun servitors move and shoot?

No such freedom for servitors.

Darrian13 is right, the same rules apply to them as they do to others. On the other hand why would you wanna move them? Place an Inqusitor(if thats what you play ofc) and 3 Gun servitors in a ruin in your deployment and let em rip

Well, the list that I'm looking at employs very strong elements of Drop Guard. Specifically, there's a couple people at the store who play Black Templars and there is absolutely no greater joy to be had than to watch them run forward, drop my guys behind them, shoot them, and watch them Zeal right back the way they came because they have to charge the nearest infantry model.

The reason I wanted the Inq. lord is the Book of Leadership 10, and playing a stable firebase in my backfield could be moderately effective, but I kind of depend on him to be a little more mobile than that. Trudging along with gun servitors blazing was a nice image that I was hoping to capture, but as I said originally, it looked like Servis were limited by the same heavy weapons rules as everyone else.

Ah well, pipe dream.

If you mean the Book of St. Lucius, an Inq cant take one of those since it has the Rule: "Adepta Sororitas only"

You still have the option to take Vet Guardsmen as retinue, plasma and meltas still pack one hell of a punch

I have really got to stop reading the damn codex while driving.

Meltas do indeed pack a hell of a punch, but drop guard kind of has those everywhere anyhow, and for cheaper. I also run into the same difficulty, i.e. low mobility.
