I found my old rouge trader imperial guards tucked away in a box in my parents basement so I thought i could use them in the new imperial guard army I am building. But they don´t fit in any more so I had to come up with a way to modernise them a bit

big head... puny gun... ugly all over...

With the use of some bitz I turned that into this...

I am planing to use some of the modern guard models arms on the old one to see how it looks, and using them as conscripts in my army.

I also found a bunch of old metal models that I plan to use as a command squad. I chopped of some heads and replaced them with American WWII heads from west wind and some new arms from the plastic imperial guard box

Old minis are the cool. I just got my hands on a bunch of really old Dwarf thunderers, like the dude with the telescopic sight on the top, and the ones with the stupid hats.

the command squad is done. I'm not very satisfied whit the standard... have to redo it later (have so many guards to paint first)

Thanks!

It´s yellow static grass from the old hero basing kit, but I guess that it´s the same as Scorched Grass GW sells

Are those West Wind's U.S. army steel helmets on those guys?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

The three left most models are awesome. The other two didn't turn out to well with the base metal pose.

Good work otherwise.
