with so much talk on the demise of the lascannon.
and so many people talking about dropping meltas to deal with AV14.
are they worth it to get more meltas/flamers on the table?

A special weapons squad with flamers does hilarious things to Orks, but a command squad with four flamers is funnier and, well, you already need to take the squad, right?

Just use veterans/command squads.

so the demo charge option doesn't add any appeal to the SWS?

SWS have always been good. take two with a demo and 2 flamers and you have a great cheap squad that is effective against all kinds of infantry, or take the same but with 2 meltas and you have a nice anti tank anti heavy infantry squad.

I would like to do/see a squad geared up with sniper rifles. The most effective weapons? Probably not, but they'd look cool.
