Here's some pics from my latest project - an Altansar Eldar army. For some reason, I decided to start the Altansar army with the Dire Avengers. I feel these are almost entirely complete - all that needs to be done is to do the banners for the Exarchs.

Here's the first squad of Dire Avengers:

And the second squad:

And here's a sort-of-closeup of some members of the 2nd Dire Avengers squad:

You need to work on your eyes. The rest of the figures look fine, but the pop eyed look spoils it for me.

Any advice on how to improve the eyes?

yeh, i would 'see' to those eyes

heh.

i would take advantage of flesh wash, maybe for eldar, i would do back with white spots in an almost bug like style, like that : )

would be easier anyway than trying hard to make them look really human :รพ

For the eyes, one way to avoid the staring look is to first paint the eye area black, then paint the white area inside that, leaving a small amount of black on the edges for definition. The colored part of the eye actually takes up a large portion of the eye area when it is open.

Check out this tutorial by Marike Reimer on painting eyes. She's quite the expert!
