Right, heres what happened last night. i was fiddling around with my falcon in the garage and a piece snapped of and fell into the hull. so reluctantly i began pulling it apart when my hand slipped and i snapped of the base. if you've ever done this before, the resulting text is quite accurate:
Ahhhhh.... oh what!? oh

...now im... grr...

ohh...

...what the...

... tournament tommorow...

...what a...

coffee machine...

glue remover, paintstripper...

... laser cannon grafted into my chest...

grr...
so simply i was 'ticked off'. i was either considering green stuff (which is useless at making a secure joint as the original) or paint striper or glue remover to remove the clear plastic stuck inside (which would inevitably burn away the plastic too.) here's some pictures of a similar scenario.
So your in a battle, or maybe leaving/arriving one and everything was fine (apart form old freakin one eye and his wound regeneration and your shuriken cata - ) well nevemind. the model is in working condition.
and then shock horror, at some point the base snaps inconviniently. Well when you go home wou will need to think of a way to fix it :s This is where i realised the convinence of cordless drills and chuck keys ^^)
so my teenage instinct pushed me toward a selection of my dads power tools, which i am not legally, physically, socially able to use. and after much questioning and inevitable parental assistance ¬_¬ i fixed it. its a bit lower to the ground now but ill show you what i did.
DETAILS: the drill end had to be thicker than the plastic 'stem', so that the stem moves in deeper than intended but at a thicker point closer to the middle. this means that it is more secured and less likely to break in the future.
Im gessing alot of people here have already figured this out and i must admit im fairly new to warhammer, so just figured i might make a perhaps useful contribution if you understand my diagrams :þ
