Eldar Paint Scheme
All of the schemes.
The first is too minimal.
I like the orange.
Three colours? This is the bare minimum.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

Which scheme do you like, keeping in mind I have other miniatures to paint.

They are based green and the guns are grey with a colour strip.

They are kind of blah maybe that is why you are not supposed to paint them grey in the first place.

Only decent one was the last one, but IMO it still needs more. Also a danger with painting models grey is that it can look like they're unpainted (Like you've added blue spots to otherwise unpainted models)

Shake this square world and blast off for kicksville.

I like the colors. The last one is the best, in my opinion. I would do two shades of grey, though.
I would do lowest layer in a slightly darker grey.

Kinda like:

I agree here, there needs to be a contrast in the greys. Maybe a lighter charcoal.

The blood of the living will flow and their dead shall swell my ranks.

3000+pts- Bretonnia
3000+pts Dark Eldar

What it is is Grey Primer -> Codex Grey -> Fortress Grey. It's a nice even colour.

I will use a slightly darkened Fortress Grey for the undersuit. The Blue I will just use Ultramarines blue under Enchanted Blue. The Blue gets inked, too.

The other option I could just ink or wash the Grey?

Krylon grey primer dries to almost EXACTLY the same as Codex Grey. Prime them with that, then use Fortress Grey and your blues. Using the Krylon grey for your primer cuts an entire step out of your paint job.

This Marine was nothing but Krylon Grey with the black lining then details and highlights. I touched up any boo-boos with Codex Grey and you can't see a difference anywhere. (Model is about 10 years old...)

Nice. I have Krylon grey but I think Guardians are too small/ detailed for it. It leaves has a kind of non-smoothness.

Painter's Touch grey on the other hand, is much better. But lousy on metal.

Also, that's a great paintjob.
