Never-Miss Nightwing Pilot

Back in '99 or '00, I joined Dakkadakka.com's awesome forum family. I was a contributing member for a few years (never was able to catch Malfred's post count, but who could?) and then dropped the forums like my ex-girlfriend dropped her pants... for anyone...

I noticed that the main page of this site is TOTALLY different than it used to be. There used to be lots of in-store pics, events, reports, army profiles, scenarios, etc. from the Dakka Dakka store in NH. Now the stuff is basically gone.
I thought I saw somewhere that the store no longer exists and that the Russ God was no longer the "big guy" on the forums? Like, it's not his baby anymore.

Could somebody that's been around for all the history possibly give me a run-down of the happenings here? Maybe a time line?

You are right, there is no longer the Dakkadakka store. From what I understand, the Russ God sold the store some time ago, so that's why there's no pics of the store or events there anymore.

Russ had been running the dakkadakka.com site still afterwards, but in the recent past Dakka's resident Yakface bought the dakkadakka site and board from Russ (was it in an auction? I seem to think it might have been), and is now the current benevolent overlord.

I'm sure that Yak would be better off detailing what actually happened, but from my long history with the place that was my best recollection of the events.
