So, I'm one of numerous Emperor's Children players who now has to split his forces in two. Does anyone have any advice about building a Slaanesh Daemon Army? I'll list what I've got built, but also what other unbuilt bits I have, as I'm quite happy to convert up anything I need - I'd rather this than buy a ton of new Daemons...

Please have a look and suggests units I need, or possible army lists! I'd rather keep this a Slaanesh/Unaligned Army though I'm not adverse to the odd 'counts as' conversion if there's another god's unit I really SHOULD have.

* 1 Keeper of Secrets (OOOP style)

* 7 Fiends of Slaanesh (OOOP style)
* 1 Fiend of Slaanesh (latest style)

* 2 Daemonettes on Steeds (latest style, now called seekers)
* 3 Daemonettes on Steeds (OOOOP style)

* 45 Daemonettes (all different styles)

* 1 Dark Age Skarrd Character (converted floating, with Dameonette Talons - I used to use her as a Dameon princess, but now she's a bit too puny - could be a herald?)

plus, unbuilt or as bits...

* 1 Keeper of Secrets (unbuilt, OOOP style, could be converted to a Soulgrinder, or a Daemon Prince)

* 1 Great Unclean one (unbuilt, OOOP style, again could be converted into a Soulgrinder or a Daemon prince)

* a Ton of Tyranid bits (2 ravenors (convertted to fiends? beasts? heralds?, hive tyrant (soulgrinder? daemon prince?), a ton of gaunt bits)

* various fiend bits, heads, slaanesh icons, wings (could convert some Furies??) etc

* load of old sentinel legs for converting soulgrinders

I was considering using a Skarbrand + Daemonette horde list. Since they're I6 you will usually go first in HtH and therefore will receive more benefit from Skarbrand than your enemy will.

Possibly - though Skarbrand isn't very slaaneshy ....Maybe some sort of 'counts as'?

'Counts as' Chaos Daemons? Hah. That made me laugh for some reason.

Go for it if you want to though.

You look like you have a pretty solid base for an army. You have a few KOS, some fiends... just move forward with it! Make sure you have plenty of Ladies, say 50 or so in things like 1750+, 40 or so in 1500-, Fiends are nice, maybe a Masque in there... whatever feels right.

You have about 1k from the demonettes, seekers, fiends and the KoS. That's an assault army with a glass jaw, though、especially if your enemy has transports and decides to run away and shoot you. Buy a few boxes of flamers and they'll help with that problem.

Only try to convert some furies if you're really desperate or trying to be really, really cheap. You might want to try out some heralds, though.

If you're going to do a conversion, make the GUO into Ku'gath. It'll be easy since we have no idea what he looks like. If it's for friendly games, buy some bases and make nurglings out of green stuff. If not, buy a few blisters.

You might be able to do something neat with the KoS converted into a demon prince(ss). If you're trying to conserve your parts, try out one KoS and Ku'goth together and see if you like that, first.
