I wanted to convert a new squad of Rough Riders. I wanted to use dogs, husky like or german shepard looking models. I have seen a few space wolves characters with some but I do not where to find them. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Orion from Warhammer Fantasy comes with some dogs. There is even a bitz pack:

Also, check out the sabretusks, though they are pretty pricey:

While there are a few GW dog models, (other than the wolves) none are really big enough to be ridden. If you want to go chaos-y, you could go with the Chaos War Hounds, but nothing husky-like or german shepherd-like.

If you want to go the cat route, in addition to the Sabretusks, the HE have got some lions that pull their Chariots. Those would be expensive to get, I imagine, though.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Augustus has some pretty awesome Rough Riders. He took scout bikes and lots of Bretonian bits to make them. Not cheap. He took them to Games Day Atlanta '04 and I think they were featured in a WD, but GW isn't hosting the pictures anymore. I'll ask him if he as some pics.

Try using the Ogre Kingdoms Sabretusks, they aren't dogs but they are big enough I think!

I dont have any images of my own Bike RRs right now...

Good luck with your conversions (they really deserve a plastic box set don't they? Being the only IG CC unit worth a dang....?)

Dire Wolves are probably the closest you'll get with GW figures. You could paint them up as german shepards easily enough, I guess.

I just ordered two boxes of the new dark elf cold one knights. Sorta far from dogs but they're cheap and you could probably make something cool with some green stuff. They work out to be like 18$ from the warstore. I also really like the idea of using scout bikes, if you modelled them with the grenade launcher you could say it does the same thing as a hunting lance.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Are LotR Wargs big enough? If so, they could make pretty nasty-looking mounts.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

It is not clear what you are after. Do you want a pack of attack dogs, or huge dogs to ride on?

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
