Commander Davin started as the comm unit clicked twice, followed by the sound of static filling the interior of the Leman Russ for three seconds. The covert signal from a forward recon unit, with an enemy too close for speech. The tank commander raised is head through the tank hatch, and lifted a visor to his eyes. In the distance, he could make out the shapes and dust cloud of a rapidly approaching enemy. He cursed under his breath.
"Dammit! The sixth time. Dont these people ever give up?"
No... We dont. It gives me great pleasure to announce the start of the sixth annual Epic painting competition, one of the premier 6mm global painting events... Honest!
Last year, we had six categories, and gained a total of over one hundred entries. EpiComp, as it is affectionately termed, is totally funded, organised and participated by the Epic and 6mm community, with prizes kindly donated by members, and judging open to all the community.
Please note that you must be a member of EpiComms/the Tactical Command boards to enter and/or vote in this. All rules are posted on the boards, submissions are made to a specific category thread (direct uploads only, please. No picture linking) and voting is done via the poll system.
The EpiComp dedicated board, where you can find more information and see the submissions as they happen are here:

The competition opens for entrants tomorrow, Monday 1st September 2008, and you have until 30th November 2008 to get your entry in. Please read through the rules thread before posting.
Good luck to everyone who enters, and a personal 'thank you' from me to everyone who continues to support this event every year - and in particular to
vanvlak who has donated a prize pretty much every year, and has foolishly volunteered to organise this event and answer the various questions that may come up.

Thanks.
