I'm pretty sure your Wolf guard leaders can't take Frost Blades (I don't have my 'Wolves codex handy, atm, but I'll look it up and correct myself if I'm wrong). I usually run my HQ choices with my troops as leaders in lists this small. Saves some points to spend elsewhere, too (like a vindicator or predator).

No wolfguard cannot take Frostblades but you can substitute a power weapn instead. The one major flaw I see is no anti vehicle unless your trying to count the 2 powerfists and melta gun.

Also the 5 wolfguard bodyguard are nice but could be replaced by another larger grey hunter squad which your commanders could join. Also you could remove the wolf guard leaders they're nice but they're a lot of extra points when you seem rather short on models. I have another thread I've been running which 1k lists feel free to go look at it for some ideas or ask questions since I'm still trying to finilize my list.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Those meltaguns are about as good as SW get for anti-tank. Not that meltaguns aren't good, but Long Fangs are terribly expensive.

Looks like someone bought the sw battleforce... I wish I had my old-style rhinos. Replace that wolf guard squad with a blood claws squad - it's cheaper and will be about as effective in this size game. I understand you may not have the models, but wounds are a good investment for space wolves.

I just sold my exterminator on ebay. :(

I'd say take a look at the lists I posted you can put in a Pred Annihilator. A melta gun is nice but you have to be within 6" for it to be effective... I would hazard a guess any competant general would just keep the distance since most vehicle weapons have 36" range why would you move close?

Now you could give one of the bikes a meltagun which would be much more effective since you could run down other vehicles. I just would think any amount of tanks would run this army over since they do not have to be fearful of any shooting.

Ok here's a revised version,

HQ:Rune Priest in Terminator armor and Storm Bolter. 100pts
Wolf Priest: Fang of Morkai 100 pts

Troops:
10 Grey Hunters, 9 bolters, 1 meltagun, wolf Pelt, wolf tooth necklace, 211pts
10 Blood Claws, 10 bolt pistols, 8 CC weapons, two powerfists. 182 points
10 Grey Hunters, 10 boltpistols. 190pts

Fast attack
3 Attack Bikes, 1 CC weapon. 151

Transport:
Rhino , Pintle Mounted storm bolter, searchlight, Smoke launcher. 64 pts

Total: 998 pts

I did buy Battleforce. I like the shape of the old rhinos too.
I have 20 Battle For Maccrage marines lying around, so I'll use 5 wolf guard guys in a squad of ten.

As far as tanks, I will mainly be playing my brother who is making an eldar army, with 1 tank and a wraithlord. Also the bikers should be able to get close and shoot twice each. and with this small of a list there probably won't be too many tanks.

If your mostly playing your brother and Eldar your list should be fine. However I've looked through a lot of the 1k lists posted on this forum and some Imperial Guard armies with 4 tanks which would be basically Impossible for you to counter with this list. I your most playing an infantry only game this will be a fund list but its just a caution against playing others who will field tanks.

Your grey hunters can't take wolf pelts. Wolf Guard and ICs only.

wait wait wait wait... huh..?

I would get rid of the attack bikes, and make them regular bikers. Give them meltaguns and you have some nasty tank hunters. But where Bikers excel is when they can be support for your CC squads. If you give the sergeant a power weapon, then, whenever one of your squads is in trouble, your bikes can charge in, dish out a few more power weapon attacks, and tip the balance in your favor.

'side from that it looks good

Only Characters (wolf guard squad leader, wolf guard battle leaders, wolf lord, priests) and vehicles have access to the wargear table - other units can only take the options mentioned in their list entry. Blood claws/hunters etc get cheaper powerfists/powerweapons than characters because their relative stats are lower and they've only got one wound. The only models in your list that can take wolf-tail talismans are hence the Rune Priest and Wolf Priest. So who did you give the four wolf tail talismans to? Why does one of the bikes have a CC weapon? Everyone has a CCW, and it only needs to be mentioned when they have enough to give them an extra attack (bolt pistol + chainsword). It looks like you paid one point for it out of the wargear section, but again, they don't have access to this.

Are attack bikes the bikes with sidecars? I might have confused bloodclaws bikers and attack bikes. Also do Blood claws bikers have ike cost included or is that separate?

Attack bikes are the ones with side cars, they're more expensive than their regular biker bretheren because they tote around heavy bolters, +1 attack and wound. They're actually really good but I think that regular bikers would be better for your army.

ok, Messed up there. So now an addition is a land raider tornado, Which should help against tank, And Attack bikes are replaced with Blood claws bikers, 2 with meltaguns for anti tank, 1 with CC, as stated in options. So all I need to do now is paint 2 bikes, Rune Priests, Buy Land Speeder and wolf priest.

You might want to give your biker sarge a pw at least and maybe a melta bomb, and instead of getting a landspeeder, get another bike and some toys for your squads

My opinion is drop the bikers all together. Or get more. A squad of three is going to get knocked out very quickly and achieve very little. Despite the T5 they still only have one wound each. IMO Not survivable enough and don't really add much.

Also, pretty sure that you have to pay for power weapons on your characters. ATM, all your HQ units have is what you've listed there. Give the wolf priest a frost blade and the rune priest a rune blade. Gotta pay the points.

Also why does your rune priest have termie armour? Its unnecessary, your rune priest should be with one of your infantry squads casting storm caller and kicking ass in assault, he shouldn't ever be alone.

NOT ENOUGH POWER WEAPONS. Each grey hunter squad should have at least one power weapon, IMO two. That's where their strength lies, that's the whole point of playing space wolves. That's why you can't get heavy weapons in those squads. It gives your grey hunters significant punch and is why space wolves kick ass. NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT YOUR POWERFISTS

Shake this square world and blast off for kicksville.

Ok here's revamp:
5 bikes, 1 w/ Powerfists, 1 with meltagun,2 with cc, 1 with powerweapon
No landspeeder. no tail talismins either. Only thing I'm not sure of is whether to take wolf priest with fang of morkai, or chapter master with frost blade

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Look at it this way - What can a wolf priest do that a wolf lord can't? Very similar statline, and it's up to how you intend to use him. I prefer a rune priest myself.

Wolf Priests have similar abilities to the old-fashioned SM apothecaries - however 5th ed Marine apothecaries confer Feel No Pain, which is similar but decidedly better. The fang of morkai isn't a weapon, it's a tool. Probably one you could use as a pretty fierce weapon, but a basic CCW either way.
