Finally got the courage to post this:

This is the first ever army I have created, chaos just looks cool & I love the ability to have anything from the chaos space marine, space marine and IG codices at my disposal. I only got into the hobby last year and as you can see by the pics, I still have a long way to go when it comes to modeling/painting but any advice will be welcomed.

Decided to go with Fabius Bile as main character so I can have enhanced Marines & also a few other tweeks to the norm.

Anyway, here's what is done at the moment.

Fabius Bile:

Chaos Sorcerer: Formerly a Tech-Marine, bit of a theme - all sorcerers are Tech-Marines or Tech-Priests

Chosen (Fallen):

This dude has a Lascannon

and another way to represent a storm bolter

Squad of Terminators

A squad of Possessed Marines

3 Squads of 5 Enhanced Marines

2 Squads of Raptors

Spawn

Predator & 2 Rhinos

Defiler

and 2 Obliterators

Approx 2000 points here.

This army was set up under the 4th Ed rules but of course with only 3 x 5 man scoring units under 5th Ed rules, things need to change. On my bench I currently have 12 x Berserkers, 20 x Thousand Sons, 20 x Scouts, 6 x raptors, a Baneblade, Deamon Prince & Cypher (pics to come in a bit). Still in the box, there's another Baneblade, a couple of landraiders (terminus & Crusader), 2 predators, rhinos & ridgebacks PLUS another 20 Terminators, 30-40 Marines, a defiler, 5 more chosen, 10 x possessed marines, a terminator lord, and maybe another couple of things I may have forgotten about - Oh yes - a couple of IG battleforce boxes as well.

Just need to find the time to get them all done now. By the end I should be much better with the greenstuff & painting (and a massive bitz box). As said earlier - any advice or critic is welcome, I love this stuff and want to get better at it.

All for now.

Thanks. I agree totally with the highlights stuff. Just need to learn how to do them better. First few attempts were pretty bad but won't give up.

Thanks for the advice Teek - Never used washes before so good to know which ones to try out.

Cheers Stelek - Gonna make to my local GW store soon to get some washes. Just find a little time in between work to read up on the tutorials.

TheThing- If laid down a coat of Dheneb Stone, then covered quite liberally with Purple Ink. For the 'goldish' trim I used a base of Tin Bitz and (Tried my best) to highlight with Brasen Brass (which I think is going out of circulation, so I'll need to find something similar)
