Built to be usable in both 40k and Fantasy by parallel model use.

Not sure it's worth it as it compromises things, but eh whatever.

Skulltaker (General), Juggernaut.
Herald of Khorne, Juggernaut, BSB, Firestorm Blade, Great Icon of Despair.
3x10 Plaguebearers.
2xBloodcrusher units (7 strong, Bloodreaper, Standard Bearer, Icon of Endless War).

Very straight forward.

Crushers go with the two characters, who run at the enemy army.

Personally I think perhaps giving the BSB the Stubborn icon might be better but I think if you lose combat with this pair of units...you're going to lose the game anyway. lol

Here's the 40k list:

Obviously you won't need Soulgrinders or screamers in this list...

Here is the problem with the list.

You are running 2 very large very expensive units that in the end won't make up their points.

Remember that in WHFB the models are ranked and do not have the same freedom of movement that they have in 40k. Now with that being said a unit of 8 Crushers (7 + Herald) will have a 200mm frontage (if ranked in a 4x2 fashion) and not generate any rank bonus. If you go with a wider or smaller frontage you will start loosing attacks or mobility.

All in all it will be very difficult for you to win with this list. As the main hitting part of your unit has very little staying power in the grand scheme of things.

Also Plaguebearers are the most worthless unit in the list if not accompanied by a herald. Without Regen and the other benefits given from the herald they just can't win combats and stay.

The Icon of Despair is a waste in this list. There are plenty of other icons that will work better that the Icon of Despair with this list.

Also how many points are yoU planning on running? This appears to be some where close to 1850 points.

I would retool this list to function better with the fantasy rules. Flesh hounds point for point are better than blood crushers they have the same attack density but much higher wound density.

Since you can't run in a 4x2 formation not sure what to make of your analysis.

This is 2000 points.

No idea what you mean by point for point better nor higher wound density.

Anyone can retool the list to work better. It's not difficult to do. Making a list that will function in both 40k and Fantasy was the goal.

your best off going troop heavy mate, throw in a few heralds and a few things like flesh hounds and screamers, that way you have a fair sized force, with plenty of useful characters, and some fast support and anti tank.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

I'm not sure what you mean here? But you can in fact run something in 4x2 formation you just don't get any rank bonuses.

Basically density is the ratio of how much you can get for very little. For the comparison between the Fleshhounds and the Bloodcrushers. It will take 2 flesh hounds to fill the same amount of space that a single Bloodcrusher takes up. Also each Fleshhound has 2 Attacks and 2 Wounds also T4. The Blood Crusher has 4 Attacks and 2 Wounds with T4. What this means is that for the price of a single blood Crusher you can have 2 Fleshounds and have them take the same amount of space on the board. This means the Fleshhounds have a much higher wound Density. Also for each 2 wounds allocated to a Fleshhound unit the unit will loose 2 attacks. Where as the Blood Crushers will loose 4 Attacks for each 2 wounds lost. This is just to give you an idea on why Fleshhounds are better point for point than the Bloodcrushers.

This list might work in 40K (though not that well) but it will most definitely not work in Fantasy. Without retooling this list I don't see how it can compete with most competitive built armies out there.

Ah now I see what you are saying.

Sadly, while fleshhounds are neat in fantasy they are horrible in 40k--so for a pure fantasy only list, they do things a bit different...I don't know if I agree with you totally on effectiveness, but in a mixed 40k/fantasy list it's not horrible.

Gotta remember there are people who can't afford huge mixed demon armies (which is probably why the army isn't selling well) and that's what this list is for.

Hugely competitive, it's not. Good enough for friendly play? Sure, I think so.

==============

Most basic Demons come on square bases, have for a long time. You can if you wish put the ones that come on round bases into a block using specially made scenic bases.

Same with the crushers, though personally I'd not bother--the round bases tend to make them tip over easily.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Also thought it's worth pointing out that in old GW White Dwarf battle reports the Bloodletters in the 40K Khorne army were still on their square bases. Ooh, what an advantage.
